ABOUT THE ROLE
MoneySavingExpert (MSE) is launching a paid internship scheme for aspiring journalists. This six-month opportunity will embed you within our busy editorial team, where you’ll help create content that reaches over 10 million people each month.
You’ll be part of a buzzing media organisation that always puts the consumer first, helping them save money and campaigning for financial justice. You’ll get hands-on experience writing and publishing stories, creating multi-channel content, and learning from some of the UK’s top financial journalists.
While this internship doesn’t lead directly to a permanent role, we encourage interns to apply for future opportunities within the editorial team or elsewhere in MONY Group.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for someone with a real passion for journalism and a desire to learn. You don’t need a degree to apply, just some writing experience and a proactive attitude.
You might be:
Studying towards a qualification in journalism or media
A recent graduate in journalism or a related field
Someone who’s had work published (e.g. local publications, websites, school/university papers)
A self-publisher (e.g. blogs, social media channels)
We’re especially keen to hear from people who:
Are enthusiastic and full of energy
Are proactive and eager to learn
Have some experience working in a team or office environment (a plus, but not essential)
This scheme is designed to support those who are new to the industry, so it’s only open to applicants who haven’t yet established a career in journalism.
