About this opportunity:
We are seeking a Packet Core & Cloud Infrastructure Expert to design, deploy, and operate telecom packet core systems on virtualized and cloud-native infrastructures. You will bridge telecom core network expertise with cloud platform operations, ensuring resilient, scalable, and high-performing environments for 4G and 5G services.
What you will do:
- Design and manage cloud infrastructure supporting packet core systems
- Deploy and support virtualized and cloud-native network functions on OpenStack and Kubernetes
- Oversee infrastructure lifecycle: installation, upgrades, patching, and scaling
- Ensure high availability, redundancy, and disaster recovery readiness
- Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and resource optimization
- Lead troubleshooting across network, compute, storage, and virtualization layers
- Support integration of core network nodes
- Drive automation through DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code
- Monitor systems using industry standard tools
- Ensure security, hardening, and compliance standards
- Collaborate with vendors, radio access network, transport, and IT teams
- Manage incidents, root cause analysis, and escalations
The skill you bring:
- Deep knowledge of cellular network core architectures and signaling protocols
- Hands-on experience with OpenStack and Kubernetes environments
- Strong expertise in cloud compute, storage, and networking
- Proven troubleshooting skills across infrastructure layers
- Experience in 24/7 production-critical environments
- Expertise in high availability design and disaster recovery
- Security hardening and compliance knowledge
- Strong leadership and team collaboration skills
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- 6+ years in telecom core networks and cloud infrastructure
- Proficiency with OpenStack and/or Kubernetes
Preferred:
- Cloud or container orchestration certifications
- Ericsson telco cloud platform experience
- 5G deployment exposure
- Large-scale production environment experience
