P2P S/4HANA Technical Lead - 6 month contract with potential for full-time hire

This position leads the technical design and development of SAP Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes within an S/4HANA system. The candidate is expected to build and maintain custom ABAP and Fiori solutions that enhance procurement workflows, vendor interactions, and invoice processing. They must also support integration with tools like OpenText VIM, ensure performance optimization, and uphold clean-core SAP development standards.

Job Summary:
Seeking a proactive and technically skilled SAP P2P Technical Lead to support and enhance the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes within our S/4HANA landscape. The ideal candidate will lead ABAP and Fiori development efforts for procurement, invoice management, and vendor-related integrations.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and deliver ABAP/Fiori technical solutions for the P2P track in SAP S/4HANA.
• Collaborate with functional P2P leads and business teams to translate procurement requirements into scalable technical designs.
• Develop and enhance custom solutions across MM, OpenText VIM, procurement interfaces, and Fiori apps.
• Optimize performance of custom developments, including database-intensive logic using CDS and AMDPs.
• Build and troubleshoot classical and flexible workflows related to procurement and approvals.
• Design and enhance Adobe Forms for POs, invoices, and vendor correspondence.
• Manage and review offshore development deliverables, ensuring performance, reusability, and clean-core compliance.
• Troubleshoot technical issues across procurement workflows and drive defect resolution during testing and hypercare.
• Support integration testing, performance tuning, and deployment activities.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of SAP ABAP development experience with strong exposure to P2P processes.
• Hands-on expertise in Fiori/UI5, OData services, CDS Views, AMDPs, and performance tuning.
• Strong experience with OpenText VIM, IDocs, BAPIs, and interfaces related to MM and vendor processing.
• Proven experience developing SAP workflows (classical and flexible).
• Proficient in Adobe Forms (interactive and print).
• Familiarity with SAP MM, Ariba, and procurement-related workflows is a plus.
• Strong leadership, documentation, and communication skills.
• Prior experience working in an onshore/offshore delivery model.
• Must be available to work hybrid in Charlotte, NC.
