We have an exciting opportunity for an Actuarial Analyst to join the regional Property & Casualty team based in Singapore. This role will provide an opportunity to work across a diverse range of portfolios for different markets and lines of business such as Property, Tech, Marine, Casualty and Financial Lines. 

As a member of the actuarial pricing team, you will support Senior Actuaries in preparing actuarial analyses and developing pricing strategies for Product Owners. Your responsibilities can include:


  • Conducting detailed portfolio reviews to identify pricing/underwriting actions that should be taken to enhance profitability.

  • Supporting the development and maintenance of pricing models by preparing and validating data used in predictive modelling techniques such as GLM and machine learning.

  • Performing account pricing for larger policies where there is sufficient claims experience to do so.

  • Designing and developing monitoring infrastructure to track key performance metrics for strategic portfolios.

  • Ensuring the accuracy of the rate monitoring process of our portfolios.
  • Extracting and manipulating data from internal and external data sources for analytical purposes.
  • Enhancing the quality of data and processing efficiency to meet expanding business needs as the P&C portfolios grow.

 

This role will involve working with stakeholders across different countries and products. The ability to communicate clearly, work well with colleagues from diverse backgrounds, and respond promptly will be important for success in this role and for future development within the Chubb global network.

Qualifications
  • 2-3 years of experience in an actuarial role within general insurance. Experience in the pricing function will be considered favorably.

  • Experience with programming languages or actuarial applications such as Python and Emblem is seen as an advantage.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a solid foundation in data analysis and statistical techniques.
  • Meticulous, organized and eager to learn and adapt quickly.
  • A motivated individual who can work well independently as well as in a team.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with various stakeholders.

Skills Required

  • 2-3 years of experience in an actuarial role within general insurance.
  • Experience in the pricing function.
  • Experience with programming languages or actuarial applications such as Python.
  • Experience with actuarial applications such as Emblem.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a solid foundation in data analysis and statistical techniques.
