Support CLEAResult's Carbon Consulting practice advising organizations on energy and greenhouse gas reduction strategies. This position will lead, construct, and implement clients’ decarbonization projects (e.g., solar, geothermal, heat-pumps, and electrification projects) on client’s behalf as an Owner’s Representative. The position provides general project oversight, and quality control/assurance, and continuously informs customers and project team of updates and necessary adjustments. Supports business development efforts and proactively seeks new project opportunities. For this opportunity, you’re a great fit if you can… 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the client, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the project.

  • Lead and coordinate construction project teams, including architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and vendors for decarbonization projects for small multifamily, commercial, and industrial properties.

  • Develop, manage, and update project schedules, budgets, and financial forecasts across all project phases.

  • Oversee contract negotiations, procurement processes, and vendor selection to ensure compliance and cost efficiency.

  • Performing regular inspections to monitor the progress of construction activities.

  • Providing detailed reports on the status of the construction, including any issues or delays encountered

  • Facilitate project meetings, prepare and distribute meeting notes, and ensure all stakeholders are aligned on objectives and deliverables.

  • Guide the project through design, construction, phases, including permitting and inspections,

  • Monitor and track project performance, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.

  • Review, approve, and track all contracts, invoices, change orders, and payments.

  • Lead value engineering efforts, proposing alternative solutions to optimize project outcomes.

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, performance standards, and client expectations while maintaining project documentation and reporting.

In this exciting career opportunity, you will have…

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related field.

  • Experience: 10+ years of relevant construction management experience serving as an owner’s representative or in a similar role and experience with energy related projects such as HVAC, energy efficiency, building envelope, solar, geothermal, etc.

  • 3+ years of people management experience with direct experience managing cross functional teams

  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding commercial real estate, construction, mechanical engineering, and/or architecture.

  • Strong understanding of design and construction processes, building codes, and specifications.

  • Experience managing all aspects of construction projects, including budgeting, scheduling, contracts, submittals, and change orders.

  • Communication: Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, vendors, and project teams.

  • Negotiation & Problem-Solving: Skilled in contract negotiation, value engineering, and conflict resolution to optimize project outcomes.

  • Organizational & Analytical Skills: Exceptional planning, organization, and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to analyze and present data effectively.

Additional:

  • Based in New York (preferred), a nearby state is also acceptable.

  • Additional Requirements: Valid driver’s license, ability to pass a background check, and willingness to work remotely and field environments across NY.

Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications (e.g. JD/technology), for example.
