This is a full-time position working onsite in Ankeny, IA.
Schedule: Sunday-Tuesday and every other Saturday
Hours: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
This position is responsible for overseeing the day to day operational and staff activities of the extended operations center. Core responsibilities include staff scheduling, training and performance monitoring as well as supporting escalated operational activities.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and provide leadership to build and maintain a strong team through effective communication, training, coaching and appraising. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the orginazation's policies and applicable laws.
- Continually assess the individual and team service level and provide recommendations to manager regarding opportunities to improve performance. Ensure compliance with established procedures and expectations.
- Establish strong working relationships with co-workers and operational teams. Maintain frequent communication with all team members.
- Identify and resolve daily service and scheduling issues. Inform and escalate service issues to management as appropriate acting as a liason between all parties providing direction and resolution in the event of service issues or other performance deficiencies.
- Be knowledgable in and able to perform tasks from all areas supported by the extended operations team. Facilitate new team member training as well as cross-training and new process training of current team members.
- Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.
Job Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
Experience: 1-2 years experience with transportation, dispatching, customer service, or other related field.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Needs strong organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills. Employee should have some knowledge in DOT rules and regulations. Strong computer skills including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn to work on various softwares required.
