Responsibilities:
Own the strategic direction of the OutSystems platform, including evolution, feature-request intake and prioritization across business subdomains, and long-term roadmap alignment with enterprise architecture
Design and maintain standardized application templates, reusable foundation controls, and the organization’s OutSystems design language to improve consistency and accelerate delivery
Own and continuously enhance the end-to-end CI/CD framework (PR-based deployment model, quality gates, versioning, artifact storage, environment-independent deployments, and automated code analysis)
Establish and operationalize testing and quality practices across the platform (BDD frameworks, visual regression testing, static analysis, schema review tooling), including enablement and adoption across teams
Help work with Infrastructure team to help manage OutSystems infrastructure across all environments, including platform and database upgrades, provisioning, build-agent management, certificate lifecycle, air-gap solutioning, and environment-specific configuration automation
Help work with Security team to drive the platform security posture, including authentication modernization (OpenID Connect, Azure AD / Entra ID), PKI certificate management, security assessments, and approvals/compliance coordination with enterprise security
Build and maintain integration frameworks (REST APIs with Azure AD auth, Elastic/Kibana observability, Kafka/event-driven patterns, SailPoint identity provisioning, and API-level RBAC)
Introduce developer productivity tooling, including AI-driven enablement (LLM integrations, agentic bot frameworks, ML-powered code review, and MCP client rollout)
Define and enforce guardrails and standards; maintain documentation; and support teams through enablement and hands-on guidance
Your Profile:
Success is measured by how well the OutSystems platform scales across the organization: teams can build and deploy reliably, new teams can onboard quickly, and the platform’s infrastructure, security, and CI/CD practices remain stable under increasing demand. Key indicators include adoption of shared standards/templates, the stability and evolution of the deployment pipeline, and well-documented, audit-ready practices suitable for a regulated environment.
Deep expertise in OutSystems (O11 and ODC): architecture, Lifetime, Service Studio, Integration Studio, and platform administration
Strong CI/CD and DevOps skills: Azure DevOps Pipelines (YAML), Git branching strategies, JFrog Artifactory, build-agent management, and PowerShell scripting
Hands-on security and identity experience: Azure AD / Entra ID, OpenID Connect, SAML, PKI certificate management, and SailPoint integration
Solid understanding of enterprise integration patterns: REST APIs, Kafka, Elastic/Kibana/Logstash, OpenAPI, and WebSockets
Experience building and operationalizing quality practices: BDD, visual regression testing, SonarQube, and automated code review tooling
Working knowledge of AI/ML integration: LLM integration, MCP (Model Context Protocol), bot framework development, and practical use of AI in developer tooling
Infrastructure management skills: SQL Server, Windows Server (OutSystems hosting), environment provisioning, and air-gap architecture
Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders, including security/architecture/vendor teams
High ownership and autonomy—you can prioritize, plan, build, test, deploy, document, and support independently across a broad scope
Experience with OutSystems ODC Early Access Programs, solution-level deployments, or parallel deployment architectures
Familiarity with financial services and regulated industry requirements
Knowledge of low-code platform licensing cost optimization
Enterprise-level vendor management experience
