SUMMARY

We are looking for a motivated, well-connected independent sales representative to represent HexArmor safety footwear across the Western United States. This is a commission-based contractor sales role focused on developing retail partnerships and expanding the HexArmor brand within the safety and footwear market. This role focuses on building retail partnerships and driving placement with specialty workwear retailers, safety footwear dealers, and retail chains. HexArmor supports territory development through a combination of end-user engagement, marketing initiatives, and retail partner support designed to help drive demand and create opportunities for retail partners.

LOCATION

Territories may include the entire Western region or may be divided into the following markets:

  • Rockies
  • Pacific Northwest (PNW)
  • Southwest (SW)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Development

  • Identify, pursue, and secure new retail partners for HexArmor safety footwear across the assigned territory.
  • Introduce the HexArmor brand and footwear product line to prospective retailers and develop new account relationships.
  • Expand retail presence within specialty workwear stores and safety footwear dealers.
  • Identify regional retail opportunities and work to secure placement and shelf space within target accounts.
  • Develop a territory strategy to maximize retail coverage and sales growth.

Account Management

  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing retail accounts.
  • Work with store owners and buyers to expand product assortment and increase sell-through.
  • Provide ongoing product training and support for retail staff.
  • Assist retailers with merchandising, product placement, and in-store visibility.
  • Support retail partners with product knowledge and application guidance.

 Brand Representation

  • Present the HexArmor footwear collection to prospective and existing retail partners.
  • Conduct in-store presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Train retail teams on product features, benefits, and key applications.
  • Represent the brand professionally at customer meetings and industry events.
  • Ensure the HexArmor brand is represented consistently and effectively within retail locations.

 Market Development

  • Work alongside HexArmor’s end-user engagement team to identify retail opportunities generated through field activity.
  • Help connect end-user demand with retail purchasing opportunities in the territory.
  • Identify regional industries and applications where HexArmor footwear provides a strong solution.
  • Support retail partners in capturing local end-user opportunities.

 Marketing & Sales Support

  • Coordinate with HexArmor on regional marketing initiatives designed to support retail partners and drive brand awareness.
  • Support in-store merchandising and product presentation to ensure strong brand visibility.
  • Utilize HexArmor marketing materials including product catalogs, digital assets, and point-of-sale materials to support retail sales.
  • Participate in regional product launches, promotional events, and retailer engagement programs.
  • Identify opportunities for local marketing activations that support retail partners and drive traffic to stores.
  • Assist with staff education and product training programs for retail partners.
  • Provide feedback from retailers and end users to support ongoing product and marketing development.

 Reporting and Communication

  • Provide regular updates on sales activity, pipeline development, and account progress.
  • Share market insights and feedback to support product development and sales strategy.
  • Collaborate with HexArmor leadership on territory planning and growth initiatives.
  • Maintain organized records of customer interactions and opportunities.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Established relationships with workwear retailers, safety footwear dealers, and retail chains
  • Desire and ability to work in fast-paced environment and be part of a high performance
    team
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work efficiently without daily supervision
  • Ability to communicate clearly and collaboratively by phone/email to prospects and
    customers.
  • Process driven and ability to manage customer expectations thru the HexArmor solutions
    process
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel
  • Ability to learn and use CRM---Salesforce.com

Preferred Experience

  • Work boot or safety footwear sales
  • PPE or industrial safety products
  • Retail account development
  • Territory sales management

 EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS 

  • Bachelor’s degree and or 2+ years’ experience in industrial sales work
    experience preferred
  • Proven success managing a multi-state territory
  • Experience working for a manufacturer or distributor calling on end users and distributors
  • Proven success in industrial accounts a plus

 COMPENSATION:

  • Commission-based only
