This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company’s locations: Troubadour Golf & Field Club set outside of Nashville, Tennessee.
Troubadour Golf & Field Club is seeking a Adventure & Sports Supervisor to join the Outdoor Pursuits Department.
In this role, you will be part of creating the Discovery Land Company experience for our members and fellow employees.
**Full-time. benefits eligible role.***

Key Responsibilities

  • Check all daily closing procedures are being completed daily

  • Assist in training new hires with enthusiasm & knowledge of the club: Responsible for the following trainings: Adventure activities and Sports

  • Keep track of cleaning of equipment & facilities

  • Keep staff on track for weekly and monthly maintenance/equipment checks 

  • Help OP staff set up all necessary items for Camp curriculum activities (Field games, Team Building, Bounce house, etc) 

  • Create 2 Staff team building events throughout the summer. 

  • Assist in planning and preparing  aspects of the September dove hunt

  • Coach sports league alongside Assistant Manager when needed

  • Assistant facilitator for rentals involving skeet, archery, paintball, and axe throwing 

  • Plan one adventure activity per month during the off-season. Design the flier and submit to Manager

  • Assist in various build projects: Ex: new axe throwing targets, etc

  • * If you are the only Manager on duty- it is your responsibility to do the Daily Report and add totals for visitors in “Farmstead Daily Numbers” in the google drive. 

  • * If you are the only Manager on duty- it is your responsibility to send any necessary charges in TEI to OP Manager

  • Provide guidance for OP attendant tasks.

  • Engage and initiate conversations/activities with member on a daily basis

  • Partner with Assitant Manger to plan and prepare Adventure and Sports events

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Sports Management/Recreation & Leisure/Youth & Family (preferred)

  • Minimum 1-2 years experience in Hospitality

  • First aid/CPR qualified.

  • Must have knowledge of outdoor recreation.

  • Previous experience in the guest service industry.

  • Work in a team environment and operate in a safe, professional manner.

  • Work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

  • Meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.

  • Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.

  • Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.

  • Ability to work in a team environment.

  • Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.

  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.
