If you are a hands-on Organizational Change Management professional who has helped people through an ERP go-live, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you. As the Organizational Change Management Lead, you will guide the people side of our ERP Transformation Project, moving from SAP to Oracle JD Edwards in two phases: Slovakia first, followed by Germany. Working with local HR partners, site leaders, the project team, and a network of departmental ERP champions, you will prepare employees for new processes and ways of working, and help the new system become part of daily work.
This is a fixed-term position for the duration of the project, based in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, with regular travel to the project sites. The role has no direct reports; you will create the materials and run the sessions yourself, working closely with local partners.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Build and run a practical change plan for each site, Slovakia first and then Germany, using a recognized methodology such as Prosci ADKAR.
- Assess how the move from SAP to JD Edwards changes roles, processes, and daily work in each department, and turn the findings into concrete readiness actions.
- Identify, onboard, and guide a network of departmental ERP champions, with clear expectations, a simple toolkit, and a regular check-in routine, without changing reporting lines.
- Work with local HR and site leadership to plan and deliver communication and engagement activities in the local language.
- Address change fatigue and resistance actively: listen to concerns, understand root causes, and adjust the approach.
- Coach site leaders and people managers to explain why the change matters and to support their teams visibly.
- Coordinate role-based training, delivered mainly by champions and key users, so that employees are ready before go-live.
- Work with the project team to make sure the business impacts of design, testing, data migration, and cutover are understood and prepared at each site.
- Track a small set of readiness and adoption indicators and report them regularly to project leadership.
- Support employees through go-live and hypercare, then hand over sustainment activities to the local organization.
- Support compliance with Emerson policies related to ethics, information security, health and safety, environmental standards, and international trade requirements.
You are a credible, hands-on change professional who is comfortable doing the work yourself. You respect local realities, listen before you act, and build trust with shop-floor employees, managers, and senior leaders alike. You influence without formal authority, keep things simple and practical, and stay close to the people affected through go-live and stabilization.
- Hands-on experience leading organizational change for at least one ERP or comparable enterprise system implementation, through preparation, go-live, and stabilization.
- Experience working with organizations that show change fatigue or resistance, and practical ways to rebuild engagement.
- Solid skills in stakeholder engagement, change impact assessment, communication planning, training coordination, and adoption tracking.
- Ability to influence site leaders and managers without formal authority, and to turn complex project information into clear actions for local teams.
- Strong facilitation, planning, and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently across sites and cultures.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Willingness to travel regularly to the project sites in Slovakia and Germany.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in organizational change, business, HR, communications, organizational development, or a related discipline.
- Spoken and written German.
- Prosci Change Management certification or an equivalent recognized organizational change qualification.
- Experience in manufacturing or operations environments.
- Experience with Oracle JD Edwards, SAP, or another ERP platform.
- Experience building and guiding change champion or key-user networks.
