About the Role

Purpose

We are seeking an experienced, proactive Organic Social & Content Marketing Lead (APAC) to join Remitly's marketing team. As a key contributor, you will play an instrumental role in leading our organic social and community program for APAC. The scope of the role includes managing and growing local social channels, community moderation, content creation and influencer partnerships. Reporting directly to the APAC Local Marketing Lead, and connecting closely with the USA based Global Organic Social team, you will have the autonomy to take ownership of strategic initiatives and drive the success of our regional content and community efforts. You will focus on APAC content production, community management, and influencer execution and management — as the first dedicated regional social and community role of its kind, acting as a local extension of the Global Organic Social team.

Key Responsibilities

  •  Community & content creation and amplification across organic social channels

  • Build and own APAC’s organic social presence across Meta/Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and X, including local Facebook pages and groups

  • Create and adapt content for new product launches, award announcements, and other APAC marketing moments.

  • Keep APAC content on-brand and launch ready at speed by adapting the Global Organic Social team's creative templates and guardrails for the region, and identify organic content strong enough to fuel the organic to paid pipeline

  • Digital community management & moderation. Moderate APAC community channels — Facebook pages/groups and any forum or messaging-app community piloted locally

  • Engage strategically important diaspora communities — including via in-person community events,  adapting tone and approach per community and building relationships to stay close to customer sentiment.

  • Route customer-service-adjacent issues to Remitly's dedicated social CS co  ntact and escalate urgent cases appropriately.

  • Identify and activate local influencers or ambassadors as community moderators where it strengthens engagement.

  • Influencer campaign execution & management. Source, brief, and manage local APAC influencers and own relationships with supporting agencies to plan and execute campaigns tied to product launches and regional pushes

  • Track and report on campaign performance, feeding learnings back to the APAC Local Marketing Lead, APAC GM, and the Global Organic Social team.

Success Metrics

  • APAC organic channels live across priority platforms with a consistent posting cadence and content calendar

  • AUS Facebook page live and active

  • Promotion of APAC business focused news, such as new product launches

  • Engagement rate and organic impressions for APAC content

  • Community response and moderation turnaround

  • Influencer and ambassador campaigns executions

  • Organic content pieces identified and adapted into paid

What You'll Need

  • 5+ years of experience in social media, content marketing, or community management.

  • Experience as a generalist who's comfortable owning both strategy and execution — writing, posting, moderating, and reporting, not just planning.

  • Strong content creation skills, especially Canva and short-form video editing — content production has been a consistent bottleneck for the Global Organic Social team.

  • Experience moderating online communities, ideally across multicultural or diaspora audiences.

  • Hands-on influencer marketing experience: sourcing, briefing, contracting, and measuring campaigns.

  • Skilled across major social platforms (Meta/Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X) and hands-on with social publishing/listening tools such as Sprout Social (or equivalent) and Meta Business Suite.

  • Comfortable operating as the primary in-market social/community lead, collaborating across Sydney, London and Seattle time zones.

  • Experience in fintech, payments, or another trust-sensitive, regulated category (a bonus, not essential).
