Summary

Smarsh is seeking a highly professional and motivated Order Management Specialist to perform a variety of revenue operation duties. Qualified candidates will have a broad understanding of quote to cash topics and experience owning an order management function. Smarsh is a quickly growing Company requiring team members to juggle multiple roles. This role will include owning close of sales opportunities, working with business partners to facilitate the month-end close, along with maintaining operational system processes. This person will also provide month-end reporting as well as working on implementing best practices across the team. Additionally, they will assist with special projects as assigned. How will you contribute?

  • Review incoming contracts; terms and conditions, fee structure, and invoicing schedules.
  • Monitor sales opportunities, anticipate potential issues, and proactively address issues before period close. Coordinate with appropriate individuals to resolve issues.
  • Enforce adherence to established and documented business rules related to all quotes, opportunities, and contracts.
  • Serve as final phase gate on sales opportunities.
  • Maintain a controlled process for order form creation, contract management, and triggering provision of license purchases.
  • Ensure that quoted/contractual commercial terms are accurately replicated in SFDC/CPQ
  • Ensure that all system created sales orders have perfect information before pushing orders to the billing and revenue accounting team in order to meet business needs.
  • Work closely with the team on revenue recognition and understand impact of ASC606 on incoming contracts.
  • Assist with audit requests, ad-hoc projects, and system implementations.
  • Support the month-end close reporting requirements related to the revenue cycle, as determined by the revenue manager.
  • Support data integration in relation to Mergers and Acquisitions
  • Other duties as assigned.

What will you bring?

  • Bachelor’s degree; emphasis in Accounting preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year order or contract management experience preferred
  • Prior experience with Salesforce CPQ, strong Excel skills a requirement
  • Experience in SaaS contract language and in working with Sales representatives is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail with high level of accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Motivated, self-starter with ability to learn quickly
  • Understanding of how to deal with conflict, high emotional IQ
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees and management to maximize performance, creativity, problem-solving and results
