The Position

The Order to Cash (OTC) Global Process Owner (GPO) is responsible, in collaborative partnership with country teams and the finance organization, for the end-to-end definition, standardization, optimization and governance of OTC process globally. This role serves as the single point of accountability for decisions pertaining to OTC process scope, documentation, performance metrics, control, continuous improvement, investments, and change management. The OTC GPO will be accountable for the efficient and effective design of the OTC processes, in alignment with Organon’s strategic and operational priorities, and ensure the delivery organization is positioned for execution success.

Organon was launched as a new company in June 2021. The GPO for OTC will be responsible for maintaining the sound process foundation including detailing the roles and responsibilities with key stakeholders (including Global Delivery Operations (GDO), local market teams), core process mapping, establishing performance standards (KPIs) and measuring performance. In addition, the OTC GPO will focus on driving standardization, technology process enablement and transformation of the OTC process globally to ensure that we accelerate efficiencies and deliver on the strategic priorities of the company. The primary responsibilities of the OTC GPO leader role include, but are not limited to, the following:

Actively participate, as required, on stakeholder Leadership Teams.

  • Ownership – Across all regions, markets, operating entities and functions, understand the end-to-end process, its components, inputs, outputs, and interactions with other processes. Establish clear roles and responsibilities. Strive to deliver ‘world class process’ experience for all stakeholders.

Develop, document and maintain process maps, relevant policies, controls and best practices. Lead efforts to streamline workflows and eliminate redundancies to improve overall performance.

Track metrics related to process performance, quality, timeliness, and cost aligned with industry benchmarks.

  • Governance – Oversee adherence to OTC process, mitigate risks, and monitor implementation of standard requirements and performance, in alignment with leadership/advisory structure(s) and consistent with standards and statutory requirements.

  • Technology Enablement – Explore available technologies relevant to OTC process. Set technology standard for OTC process and work closely with Business Technology (BT) to leverage technology to progressively transform process efficiency and effectiveness. Act as ‘two in a box’ Functional Process Owner for OTC enterprise process as part of the Athena Value Team. Partner with Business Technology (BT) – who holds the technology budget – to optimize spend based on business value.

  • Continuous Improvement - Analyze process performance data and understand evolving business needs, identify areas for enhancement, and implement and embed changes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and deliver better outcomes.

  • People leadership & collaboration – Foster an environment that promotes growth, collaboration and continuous improvement for an existing team who serve as sub-process owners. Set performance expectations, drive accountability and provide coaching. Build talent pipeline and succession bench strength. Collaborate as a peer with other GPOs across Organon to share best practices and support excellence in GPO leadership.
