Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Software Developer with strong Oracle E-Business Suite expertise to support application development, enhancement, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities. The successful candidate will work across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to develop, test, deploy, and support enterprise applications while collaborating with technical and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate technical systems specifications into working, tested applications.
  • Develop detailed programming specifications.
  • Write and/or generate code.
  • Compile data-driven programs, maintain applications, and conduct unit testing.
  • Resolve and troubleshoot technical issues related to software packages.
  • Provide technical assistance during implementation, conversion, and migration activities.

General Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in programming and analysis, including specialized software package support.
  • Ability to collaborate with IT professionals throughout the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Experience with structured methodologies for development, design, implementation, and maintenance of applications.
  • Experience designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting applications.
  • Experience using object-oriented and/or third-generation language development tools.
  • Experience with one or more programming languages.
  • Experience in application design, design patterns, deployment, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with relational and hierarchical database technologies.

  • Experience reviewing, analyzing, modifying, testing, and debugging installation scripts.
  • Ability to provide post-implementation support and resolve technical issues.
  • Experience conducting design walkthroughs with project teams.
  • Knowledge of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) standards and regulations.
  • Ability to prepare user and system documentation.

Oracle E-Business Technical Skills

  • Experience conducting impact assessments on Oracle E-Business application customizations and extensions.
  • Strong conversion experience within Accounts Receivable and Collections modules.
  • Strong programming skills in:
    • Oracle Database
    • PL/SQL
    • SQL
    • XML
    • Unix Shell Scripting
    • Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)
  • Strong business knowledge of:
    • General Ledger (GL)
    • Accounts Receivable (AR)
    • Collections
    • Accounts Payable (AP)
    • Inventory (INV)
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite table structures related to GL, AR, Collections, AP, INV, and FND modules.
  • Strong SQL performance tuning and partitioned table experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with Data Warehouse environments, ETL methodologies, and OBIEE.
  • Java and Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF) experience is considered an asset.
  • Strong communication skills and leadership abilities with the capability to oversee technical quality assurance activities.

Work Environment

  • Hybrid work arrangement.
  • 5 days onsite requirement as specified by the client engagement.
