Key Responsibilities:
- Provide database administration support for Oracle Portal, DOE Budgeting System (Oracle Hyperion), DOE Financial System (Oracle EBS), and core databases supporting DOE applications.
- Install, configure, and administer Oracle 26 AI in production and development environments.
- Design, configure, and support Oracle Single Sign-On (SSO), Oracle Internet Directory (OID), Oracle Access Manager (OAM), and UCM.
- Perform Oracle Fusion Middleware installations, patching, upgrades, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Recommend and implement database security, backup, recovery, redundancy, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Implement automated monitoring and continuously monitor database storage, availability, performance, and system health.
- Perform database health checks, performance analysis, capacity planning, system sizing, and ongoing maintenance.
- Provide break/fix support, resolve production defects, and implement system stabilization changes.
- Support remediation of cybersecurity findings.
- Maintain system documentation, baseline configurations, SOPs, installation and upgrade documentation, security records, and event logs.
- Support system owners and security teams with annual A&A and ATO activities.
- Support internal and external data calls.
- Review quarterly Oracle Critical Patch Updates (CPUs) and coordinate testing and implementation across applicable environments.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline with 8 years of relevant experience in Oracle Federal Financials and Oracle Hyperion. In lieu of a degree, 9–10 years of relevant experience is required.
- Approximately two-thirds of the candidate’s experience must be as a Database Administrator supporting Oracle OID, OAM, and SSO. Experience managing Oracle Portal and Hyperion implementations is preferred.
- Strong understanding of Oracle databases, related utilities, and tools.
- Strong experience with performance tuning and monitoring.
- Knowledge of load balancers, storage, and cloud environments.
- Working knowledge of Windows Server and IIS.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle backup and recovery.
- Understanding of Oracle security management and data integrity.
- Experience with code migration, database change management, and data management throughout the development lifecycle.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- U.S. Citizenship required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q Clearance.
- This role is fully remote. Accessing DOE Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) or logging into the DOE network from outside the United States is strictly prohibited without proper authorization.

- Oracle Autonomous Database Cloud Professional certification.
- Experience with ServiceNow for incident, problem, and service request management.
- Previous Department of Energy (DOE) experience.
- Ability to analyze business and functional requirements and recommend optimal technical solutions.
Skills Required
- 8+ years supporting Oracle Fusion Middleware in an enterprise or federal environment
- Demonstrated expertise with Oracle WebCenter, Oracle Enterprise Manager, and Oracle Internet Directory or Oracle Access Manager
- Subject matter expertise in SSL/TLS certificate management and enterprise middleware encryption
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent experience considered
- Working knowledge of Oracle Database, WebLogic, APEX, Analytics, and Data Integrator
- Experience supporting DOE or another federal agency’s Oracle middleware environment
- Oracle certification in WebCenter, Enterprise Manager, or Identity Management
- Agile delivery experience
- AI-focused or automation mindset
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q Clearance
