Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) Application Developer
Position Summary
The Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) Application Developer is responsible for the design, development, monitoring, and support of enterprise integrations, with ownership of Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) solutions across the organization.
This role also provides technical support for Oracle E-Business Suite (R12.2), including troubleshooting system and interface issues, supporting integrations, performing system performance monitoring and troubleshooting (including SQL tuning and integration performance analysis), and ensuring overall system stability and reliability in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Proficiency in designing, building, and Supporting integrations with external SaaS applications and EBS in OIC
- Integration Development: Design, build, and maintain multi-step integrations between Oracle EBS, Salesforce, and third-party systems using OIC adapters and advanced data transformations (XSLT/JSON).
- Security & Data Exchange: Implement secure authentication mechanisms (OAuth/JWT) and manage high-volume data integrations through REST, Bulk APIs, and EBS public interfaces.
- Architecture & Support: Apply enterprise integration patterns (e.g., Pub/Sub, Request/Reply) and lead end-to-end incident troubleshooting and root-cause analysis across integrated system
- Provide Oracle EBS 12.2 production support including troubleshooting concurrent programs, outages, SFTP/SSH, session locks, printer issues, and general infrastructure-related problems (database, application, and network layers).
- Support environment refreshes, patching activities, and troubleshoot connectivity issues (DB ports, firewall, network).
- Collaborate with internal teams, as well as external vendors, to troubleshoot and resolve Oracle EBS environment issues, OIC/integration failures, performance degradations, and system outages across the Oracle environments
- Good understanding of PL/SQL, Unix/Linux, shell scripting, logs analysis, and debugging.
- Analyze technical requirements and determine appropriate integration or EBS technical solutions
- Analyze project requirements and determine technical approach and programming required
- Support business needs for system processing, integration reliability, and application availability
- Participate in 24/7 on‑call rotation and provide timely response for production issues
Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications
- Hands-on experience integrating Oracle Fusion Cloud, Oracle EBS, and other SaaS platforms using OIC adapters and REST/SOAP APIs.
- Proficiency in REST/SOAP services, JSON/XML, XSD/WSDL, XSLT/XPath, message mapping, and structured error handling within OIC
- Solid SQL and PL/SQL skills, with the ability to interface with Oracle databases (views, packages, staging tables) using the OIC DB Adapter
- Experience supporting Oracle EBS 12.2 environments, including concurrent programs, integration failures, session locks, and production incidents.
- Troubleshooting skills across application, integration, database, network, and infrastructure layers, including log analysis and root-cause identification
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix commands, SFTP/SSH, and basic networking concepts (ports, firewall rules, connectivity checks)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, customer service, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to participate in 24/7 on-call rotation and handle production issues under pressure.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related IT field
- Minimum 3 years of experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC)
- Exposure to EBS 12.2 and Oracle 19c database environments
- Troubleshooting skills across application, integration, database, network, and infrastructure layers, including log analysis and root-cause identification.
