Job Description

Responsibilities:

· Create and run Oracle VMware instances for the purpose of building a redundant, stable application hosting architecture.

· Install, upgrade, and patch Oracle Fusion Middleware software.

· Monitor and evaluate efficiency of system usage and make recommendations to management to improve performance.

· Troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

· Prepare, update and maintain technical documentation.

· Preventative and proactive system monitoring.

 Nice to have:

· Experience using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) to manage an application hosting environment.

· Web Application development.

· Java application development.

Qualifications

 Must Haves:

· 3 - 5 years of System Administration knowledge Redhat/Oracle Linux; certifications preferred

· Installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of Oracle Fusion Middleware software in a Linux environment.

· Experience with multi-tiered application environments.

· Experience with LDAP-based enterprise directories.

· Ability to demonstrate track record of maintaining server integrity and uptime.

· Experience writing shell scripts to automate tasks.

· Proven experience troubleshooting issues that occur with the applications running on Linux servers.

Additional Information

  1. Good comm skills are a big priority
  2. Duration:  6+ months
  3. Interview process: phone THEN F2F (no skype) – must do F2F after the phone

Skills Required
