Oracle ERP Cloud Financials Senior Consultant

Job Summary:

As an Oracle ERP Cloud Financials Senior Consultant, you will lead and support the implementation, configuration, and optimization of Oracle Cloud Financials solutions. You will serve as a senior functional resource, working closely with clients to understand complex business and finance requirements and translate them into effective Oracle ERP Cloud Financials solutions.

Essential Functions:

• Lead client discussions and requirements-gathering sessions to understand business processes, challenges, and functional requirements.
• Analyze complex finance and accounting processes and recommend solutions using Oracle ERP Cloud Financials capabilities and best practices.
• Lead the configuration of Oracle ERP Cloud Financials modules, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Cash Management (CM), Fixed Assets (FA), and Expense Management (EXP).
• Take ownership of assigned functional workstreams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop and review functional design documentation, configuration decisions, and business process recommendations.
• Identify opportunities to improve existing business processes and leverage Oracle ERP Cloud Financials functionality to meet client needs.
• Partner with technical and integration resources to define requirements for reports, integrations, extensions, and customizations.
• Support and guide the design of reporting and analytics requirements.
• Lead functional testing activities and support system integration testing and user acceptance testing.
• Analyze and resolve complex functional issues and work closely with clients, project teams, and Oracle Support as needed.
• Support data conversion, deployment, and go-live activities.
• Provide functional guidance, knowledge transfer, and end-user training to client teams.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders within assigned areas of responsibility.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior consultants and other project team members.
• Participate in project planning and provide input on scope, risks, dependencies, timelines, and functional deliverables.
• Support post-go-live stabilization and ongoing client support activities.

• May conduct project performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.

Work Environment:

The work environment is remote or on-site at a client location. While remote, employees are expected to provide office space for themselves with a professional background (including virtual backgrounds) and noise level. A reliable and consistent internet connection is required.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer.
• Bending, sitting, lifting, and/or driving.

Position Type and expected hours of work:

• Full time work during Apex IT business hours and, at times, outside of business hours, if required.

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle ERP Cloud Financials.
• Strong functional expertise in Oracle Financials modules such as GL, AP, AR, CM, FA, and Expense Management.
• Experience with full lifecycle Oracle Cloud implementations, including requirements gathering, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
• Strong understanding of finance and accounting processes, Oracle Cloud Financials best practices, and client-facing consulting.
• Experience leading functional workstreams and mentoring junior team members preferred.
