Basic Purpose:
Under the direction, guidance, and oversight of the Senior Director – Finance Systems the Senior Oracle EPM Functional Consultant will help drive the strategic direction of Finance Operations by leading process improvement and transformation across Oracle EPM platforms. This role will support financial consolidation, tax reporting, account reconciliation, and enterprise data management by reviewing existing Oracle and non-Oracle processes, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, controls, and user experience, and executing approved enhancements.
Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as a senior functional lead for Oracle EPM solutions, with primary expertise in FCCS, TRCS, ARCS, and EDMCS.
- Lead the design, configuration, and enhancement of Oracle EPM applications to support financial consolidation, tax reporting, account reconciliation, and master data governance.
- Review current-state business processes across Oracle and non-Oracle systems and recommend opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, automation, and user experience.
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, process flows, fit-gap assessments, and functional design specifications.
- Support and lead conference room pilots, solution workshops, system testing, user acceptance testing, and production cutover activities.
- Provide functional guidance and best practices to the Finance Systems team and business stakeholders throughout implementation and support activities.
- Manage functional issues, troubleshoot application defects, and work closely with internal support teams and Oracle Support to drive timely resolution.
- Support system conversions, data migrations, metadata updates, hierarchy maintenance, and integration touchpoints across Oracle EPM and source systems.
- Partner with Finance, Accounting, Tax, and Master Data stakeholders to ensure solutions align with business controls, reporting needs, and operational objectives.
- Document functional designs, setup decisions, test scripts, training materials, and support documentation to ensure strong governance and knowledge transfer.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a functional lead supporting Oracle EPM Cloud solutions.
- Strong hands-on experience with FCCS, TRCS, ARCS, and EDMCS.
- At least 2 full lifecycle Oracle EPM implementations, including requirements gathering, design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
- Demonstrated experience leading fit-gap analysis, CRPs, functional configuration, SIT/UAT, client training, and go-live support.
- Experience preparing solution designs, functional specifications, setup documentation, test scripts, and training materials.
- Solid understanding of financial close, consolidation, tax reporting, account reconciliation, metadata governance, and enterprise master data processes.
- Experience working in both Waterfall and Agile delivery environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think logically and recommend practical solutions.
- Oracle EPM Cloud certifications are preferred.
