We are currently seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Oracle and related DB technologies Administrator to join our team. This is an opportunity for you to work on a hybrid-flexible working arrangement.
Selected candidate will join a global DB Operations team responsible for providing support and maintaining the overall performance reliability, and availability of our database systems. The DBA Operations team will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal database performance and support the organization's data management objectives.
Job Responsibilities:

Analyze solutions and implement best practices for our Oracle & Postgres database environments;

Perform routine database administration tasks, including installation, configuration, migration, patches, and upgrades of database systems;

Identify and resolve database performance issues, including tuning SQL queries, optimizing indexing, and implementing necessary database changes.

Conduct ongoing monitoring and proactive management of database systems to ensure high availability and performance.

Support database backup and recovery activities, ensuring appropriate backup strategies and disaster recovery plans are in place.

Design data structures with AWS technologies like Oracle/PostgreSQL RDS, DynamoDB and Redshift, build and maintain core database infrastructure pieces that allow Broadridge to scale to assist hundreds of thousands of concurrent users.

Work on observability of relevant database metrics and make sure we reach our database objectives;

Document every action so your learnings turn into repeatable actions and then into automation.

Establish data governance policies and procedures for data integrity and compliance.
Required Skills/Competencies:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

3- 5 years of experience running SQL Server/PostgreSQL/Oracle in large production environments.

2 years of experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management (Chef, Ansible, Puppet, Terraform…).

Experience with Ruby on Rails, Django, other Ruby and/or Python web frameworks, or Go.
-
Strong knowledge of relational and non-relational database systems (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB, Cassandra).

Experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure) and understanding of cloud-based database management.

Familiarity with database monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).

Team player with good communication skills, with an excellent level of English proficiency.

We are seeking an experienced Database Operations Specialist to join our dynamic team. Your role will be crucial for developing, maintaining, and optimizing our data management systems to support our organization's data-driven decisions.
Key Responsibilities:

Analyze solutions and implement best practices for our Postgres database environments

Work on observability of relevant database metrics and make sure we reach our database objectives.

On Call support on rotation with the team.

Provide database expertise to engineering teams (for example through reviews of database migrations, queries and performance optimizations).

Work on automation of database infrastructure and help engineering succeed by providing self-service tools.

Plan the growth and manage the capacity of Broadridge's database infrastructure.

Design, build and maintain core database infrastructure pieces that allow Broadridge to scale to assist hundreds of thousands of concurrent users.

Support and debug database production issues across services and levels of the stack.
-
Make monitoring and alerting alert on symptoms and SLOs, and not on outages.

Document every action so your learnings turn into repeatable actions and then into automation.

Design data structures with AWS technologies like Oracle/PostgreSQL RDS, DynamoDB, and Redshift.

Work closely with IT teams, management, and other stakeholders to identify and meet data requirements.
