How will you make an impact?You will provide support for our Oracle Big Machines CPQ implementations, including technical, functional, data analysis and operational tasks. We are looking for a candidate who has in-depth technical hands on experience in the Oracle CPQ platform, and preferably, exposure to the salesforce.com platform.
EducationBachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business Administration or a related field.
ResponsibilitiesBelow are some of the significant areas where the candidate is expected to deliver on, (but not limited to the below list altogether):
Work with business users to understand and document their business processes and requirements.
Understand the current landscape and architecture of Thermo Fisher’s Oracle Big Machines CPQ, including platform configuration and processes integrated with salesforce.com.
Perform fit/gap analysis based on the requirements and the platform capabilities, keeping in mind the existing implementation of CPQ.
Configure working prototypes in a development sandbox if required, and validate and refine prototypes.
Document the functional design / technical design and solution design approaches clearly.
Highlight the benefits of recommended approaches and any business process improvements from the suggested solutions.
Conduct meetings with business users and IT teams, and publish status and progress reports. During projects, clearly communicate project task status to key stakeholders.
Work with cross-functional IT teams to highlight any changes needed in the current implementation to achieve business requirements.
Drive the Impact Analysis meetings and provide the detailed report.
Assist with release planning and execution.
Plan, schedule and implement the Oracle Upgrade program to ensure minimal impact to end users.
Trouble shoot issues in the CPQ environment and in related integrations.
At least 4-7 years of overall technical analysis experience, with demonstrated ability on the Oracle Big Machine platform.
Hands-on experience with Oracle CPQ implementations, using core concepts such as JSON, BML,BMQL, Javascript.
Hand on experience with Rules, Integration XMLs, Integration mapping, SOAP, REST.
Extensive experience with the Oracle Big Machines platform features, setups and technology including BML and BMQL. Programming experience with BML is a must.
Good understanding of sales processes like opportunities, CPQ quoting, BM commerce, model configurations, pricing, discounting, promotions, approval matrix, and sales orders.
Solid understanding of the Big Machines data model, data architecture, and data management, and familiar with integrations with other systems like salesforce.com.
Must be a confident self-starter individual who can completely be responsible for the delivery of high value work products.
Ability to clearly understand business requirements and convert them into a functional design, and to collaborate with business analysts and users to define solution approaches.
Knowledge of Big Machines CPQ implementation in a salesforce.com environment via managed packages is a must.
In-depth understanding of the capabilities and constraints of the Big Machines platform.
Ability to communicate effectively with end users, management and team members.
Planning and analytical skills as well as the ability to promote ideas and plans verbally and in writing.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated organizational skills and detail orientation with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem solving skills.
Oracle Big Machines certifications. Salesforce.com certifications (preferred)
Skills Required
