Oracle Cloud Application Manager

Key Responsibilities: 

• Application Management: Oversee the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of applications in the cloud. 

• Service Management: Start, stop, and restart application services as needed. 

• Patching: Apply patches and updates to applications and underlying operating systems. 

• OS Management: Manage and maintain the operating systems on which applications run. 

• Network and Security: Implement and manage network configurations and security policies to protect applications. 

• Performance Monitoring: Implement and manage monitoring tools to ensure the health and performance of cloud-based applications. 

• Incident Management: Respond to and resolve incidents related to cloud applications. Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures. 

• Automation: Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline application management tasks. 

• Backup and Disaster Recovery: Implement backup and disaster recovery solutions to ensure data integrity and availability. 

• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for application configurations, processes, and procedures. 

• Integration: Manage the integration of applications with other cloud services and on-premises systems. 

• Compliance: Ensure that all applications adhere to security policies and compliance requirements. Conduct regular audits. 

Skills: 

• Proficiency in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). 

• Experience with application deployment and management in a cloud environment. 

• Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices. 

• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools. 

• Knowledge of automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Python). 

• Experience with incident management and root cause analysis. 

• Understanding of performance tuning and optimization techniques for cloud applications. 

• Expertise in cost management and optimization for cloud services. 

• Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions. 

• Proficiency in network configuration and security management. 

• Strong OS management skills, including patching and updates. 

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in application management, with a focus on cloud environments. 

Soft Skills: 

• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve complex issues. 

• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
