OR Tech:
The OR Certified Surgical Technologist is a critical member of the Operating Room Team who performs a variety of technical skills in support of the surgeon during cases. The Surgical technologist is an autonomous skilled individual who is competent in a variety of specialties and scrubs in surgical/diagnostic procedure(s) under the direction of a registered professional nurse.
Preferred QualificationsGraduate of Operating Room
Technician Program or its equivalent.

Certification as Surgical Technician .
BCLS
- Experience/Skills
One (1) year experience as Operating Room Technician or demonstrated ability to perform operative case scrub experience.
Must demonstrate understanding of sterility and a knowledge of medical terminology. .
Skills Required
- Certification as Surgical Technician (CST)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
- Graduate of Operating Room Technician program or equivalent
- One year experience as Operating Room Technician or demonstrated operative scrub experience
- Understanding of sterile technique and knowledge of medical terminology
