ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS PERFORMED
1. Leads the daily work activities of Business Excellence Engineers.
2. Assists with the strategic planning of continuous improvement activities.
3. Educates and develops supervisors and managers on the use of lean tools.
4. Promotes a culture of business excellence by using continuous improvement principles, behaviors, systems and tools.
5. Acts as a change agent of the Business Excellence program and drives/sustains improvements.
6. Provides technical support to manufacturing teams in their endeavors to initiate and sustain continuous improvement.
7. Provides guidance and is the subject matter expert on 5S, TPM, TWI program deployment.
8. Provides guidance and is the subject matter expert on problem solving activities using provided tools.
9. Provides guidance and is the subject matter expert on process improvement activities, such as VSM, material and information flows, DMAIC, time studies, etc.
10. Takes a lead role with R&D at early stages of product and process development to ensure new products and processes are born lean.
11. Recognize and receive guidance from other sources, when needed.
12. Performs other duties and tasks as required.

SUMMARY OF MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or technical field related to the department of assignment or industry.
• Six years of related experience, to include leadership and training skills.
• Strong facilitation and influencing skills.
• Ability to deliver projects within tight time frames.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated use Lean and Six-Sigma resources and tools.
• Demonstrated computer skills preferably spreadsheets, word processing, database and other applicable software programs
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to work effectively as a team member.
• Excellent verbal/ written communication and presentation skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Medical device industry experience
• Green Belt Certified
• Read/interpret documents
