SUMMARY:

Responsible for the safe and efficient daily operation of a forming machine including keeping raw material stocked, performing quality inspections and packing product.    

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform all job duties following established safe work practices and company policies.
  • Operate various forming machinery.
  • Perform quality inspections to ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Accurately record all production data.
  • Confirm shop ticket details and instructions.
  • Troubleshoot and perform minor machine maintenance.
  • Maintain department cleanliness.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Individual will work a set schedule including regular weekend work and overtime to meet production demands.  Requires walking (75%) and standing (25%).  Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.  Requires twisting, bending/stooping, squatting/kneeling and reaching above, at and below the shoulders.  Required PPE includes hairnet, safety glasses, earplugs and steel toe shoes.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

Must have high school diploma or GED.

Previous machine operating or manufacturing experience helpful.

Experience with a hand pallet jack helpful.

Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
