Epsilon Systems Solutions Inc. is currently seeking a full-time WAF Coordinator I in Mayport, FL.

Job Summary:

Directly reports to the QA & EHS Manager and coordinates assignments with the EHS Administrator, and QA Supervisor. Responsible for developing Work Authorization Forms (WAF) in accordance with the Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM) ; for work control and developing or verifying isolation of equipment using Electronic Shift Operations Management System (eSOMS) or E-Tag Out in accordance with the Tag Out User s Manual (TUM) and to work with ship's force to install and remove tags in accordance with established availability schedule. Serves as the liaison between the customer/ships force, production employees, and subcontractor personnel for all matters regarding WAFs and tag outs. Responsibilities also include daily coordination and reporting of WAFs and tag outs on assigned ship within established objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure WAF/T-O employees and subcontractor employees have minimum WAF and ESOMS/E-Tag Out certification prior to being dispatched to perform work for Epsilon Systems.
  • Develop or verify WAF s are in accordance with JFMM Volume IV, Chapter 10
  • Develop or Verify Tag-Outs for equipment isolation are in accordance with applicable documents, Technical Drawings and EOSS
  • Complete and submit Work Authorization Forms (WAFs) for each PM or repair task
  • Request Tag-Outs in accordance with PMS/Repair schedule as requested by production personnel
  • Serve as the liaison between the customer/ships force, Epsilon craft, and subcontractor personnel for all matters regarding WAF and Tag Out.
  • Coordinate with production personnel to verify tags have been hung
  • Verify all work complete or in a safe condition prior to clearing or revising Tag Outs/WAFs.
  • Keep and distribute a running status log for each contract reporting the status of each submitted WAF.
  • Process WAF s for all repair activities on select prime contract availabilities when NAVSEA Standard Item 009-106 has been invoked.
  • Accomplish in process surveillances of the WAF and Tag Out process to ensure compliance by employees and subcontractor personnel.

Requirements:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent with working knowledge of ships and ship systems
  • 1 to 3 years of prior Military experience or equivalent shipyard experience
  • Willingness to travel
  • Strong knowledge of the Tag-Out requirements onboard ship for electrical and mechanical isolation using TUM and JFMM
  • Must be able to pass security background check and obtain a DBID access badge.
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and manage time effectively, including managing and meeting deadlines
  • Ability to work multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Understanding of ships and ship systems
  • Ability to read Technical Drawings and use of the Navy Engineering Operational Sequencing System (EOSS)
  • Ability to provide input to Technical Procedures, standards and work instructions
  • Ability to work well with all levels of personnel - internally, externally and ships force
  • Strong communication skills to work with multiple organizations onboard ship, on the base or in the shipyard
  • Highly motivated with ability to work independently with multiple crews
  • Ability to effectively work in a multi-discipline team environment
  • Ability as a team player and a team leader
  • Understand conditions required to commence work
  • Strong skills in computer applications including eSOMS, E-Tag out and MS Office (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to coordinate ship schedule and equipment/system tag-out impact.
  • Ability to access and maintain access to government and private shipyards.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

Must be able to physically access ships, small craft, and submarines.

Able operate in: confined Spaces, noisy environment, extreme height, heavy Industrial conditions, high traffic areas, office environment, meetings and multiple locations.

Able to Remain calm in: Stressful situations including; high pressure production schedule, strict workmanship requirements, customer interface, regulatory requirements

Work may be performed in confined spaces, noisy environments, heavy industrial conditions, high traffic areas, office environment, meeting rooms and multiple locations; also in outside conditions ranging from extreme heat to extreme cold.
