The Microsoft Federal organization was established to address the unique mission, legal/regulatory requirements, and procurement rules and processes of the United States Government (USG).   • Develop effective forecast models based on industry trends and demand patterns
  • Support management with risk assessments and mitigation activities
  • Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy
  • Successfully communicate forecast and inventory estimations to management
  • Engaging and partnering with a wide set of stakeholders including Global Government Teams, Finance, Channel Operations, New Product Introduction teams to inform and influence, while delivering and balancing key measures such as plan accuracy, optimality and availability
  • Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies
  • Conduct monthly forecast maintenance
  • Address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner
  • Adept at communicating and collaborating: pliable to differing audiences, skilled at various data visualizations.
  • Self-starter who can move forward in the face of ambiguity and can help drive to clarity and impact in projects.
  • Previous experience with government demand planning activities / relations desirable

QualificationsRequirements

  • 5+ year experience in any of these areas: Supply chain, Demand Planning, Forecasting, Advanced Analytics, Operations
  • Candidates must be able to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements for this role.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in supply chain, related product/technology, business administration or engineering field
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Proven problem-solving skills, analytical skills, attention to detail, and exceptional organizational skills
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity associated with working in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage change in the organization and to influence others
  • Strong technical aptitude with excellent visual and verbal communication skills with ability to influence business and technical decision makers

The successful candidate must be a U.S. Citizen. Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of US Citizenship to meet federal government security requirements.
Cloud Screening: Candidates must be able to successfully complete and pass a Microsoft Cloud background screening. Required Cloud Screenings will be administered on a recurring bi-annual basis.
Candidates selected for this position must comply with Federal Executive Order 14042 mandating that federal contractors and subcontractors receive the COVID-19 vaccine by being fully vaccinated before their date of hire, or work with Microsoft to receive an approved religious or medical accommodation.
