The RMD Systems Solutions and Integration (SSI) team is seeking a Department Manager to lead a team of System Design Engineers in the research, development and integration of cyber compliant standardized systems solutions using innovative designs to improve the execution efficiency and capability of RMD supported programs. Successful candidates will have experience leading diverse technical teams in the development and integration of common systems infrastructures, platforms, products, and associated applications. The manager will also be responsible for providing leadership, direction, and guidance to a team of highly skilled subject matter experts with deep knowledge of IT solutions and their integration within classified work environments. This position may require some overtime to meet scheduled milestones, as well as limited travel to support a geographically separated team. This position offers part-time telecommuting opportunities with occasional on-site and travel to support the team; position can be supported from either Tucson Arizona or our Northeast locations.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

• Lead a team of SMEs that are accountable for the technical advancement and success of program work environments through the design and deployment of secure systems solutions
• Drive the detailed design development of innovative technologies that deliver tangible business value to RMD supported programs
• Responsible for leading the team in making moderate to significant improvement to existing IT processes, systems development, or product integration
• Develop, review, and provide feedback on detailed documentation from the team that describes technology reasons, roadmaps, requirements, and the relationship between people, process, and the technology components
• Provides technical consulting and support across the organization, facilitating the use of standard systems designs solutions
• Communicate and manage relationships with internal teams and key product vendors such as VMware, Nutanix, NetApp, EMC, HPE, Dell, as well as internal partners and contractors
• Moderate the solutions development of complex problems driving the team to quick, reliable, and deployable corrective actions
• Support the management of program ATO's through the team development of automated cyber solutions attaining POA&M and CAP resolution
• Review and provide feedback on team developed design related artifacts
• Develop partnerships with multiple senior level leaders across all RMD and Engineering Services ensuring solutions development and RMD strategic initiatives are considered part of a single cohesive system
• Responsible for all aspects of people management including assigning projects and activities to team members, team staffing, training, and administration of performance appraisals
• Provide personal development of team members through coaching and mentoring
• Reporting team operational status, focus on goal execution, and cross directorate collaboration on common roles and responsibilities
  Qualifications You Must Have:

• Bachelor's Degree in IT or STEM with 10 years of related professional experience or lieu of a degree must have 18 years of direct experience
• Experience leading technical teams in IT solutions development and integration
• Experience in personnel management including day to day administration, development, performance, and training
• Experience and working knowledge of common IT products and services
• Must have a current DoD Secret clearance and you must be a US Citizen

• Working knowledge of cyber security compliance and experience with US Government security standards

• Understand of the Systems Engineering Development Lifecycle
• Understanding of Risk and Opportunity Management
