Sr. Director, Integrated Business Planning

As Senior Director of Integrated Business Planning, you are responsible for ensuring the success of Micron's S&OP and Demand Management functions. This includes maintaining high-quality demand, manufacturing, inventory, and shipment Plans of Record in alignment with the company's financial, market, and operations strategy. This role requires a high degree of cross-functional collaboration across virtually all company functions, up to and including the Senior Executive level.
Responsibilities include:
- Influence and collaborate with Manufacturing, BUs, Technology Development and Sales on setting manufacturing and market strategies
- Propose and drive changes to operations strategy, capacity investment, capacity allocation, and demand prioritization to ensure achievement of business objectives
- Maintain Micron's constrained demand plan of record that reflects the latest customer, business, and strategic direction
- Evaluate supply and demand risks and take actions to mitigate through business processes and consultation with other functions including Manufacturing, Business Units, Sales, and Technology Development
- Coordinate with Ops Portfolio Management and Product Operations Management team to ensure a robust cradle-to-grave supply strategy
- Ensure consistent and high-quality publish of Micron's S&OP manufacturing, sales, and inventory projections
- Provide visionary leadership over supply chain improvement initiatives related to S&OP and Demand
- Lead executive review forums to review and approve weekly, monthly, and quarterly plan changes
- Ensure consistent adherence to and improvement of documented processes and procedures
- Lead and develop S&OP and Demand Management teams to continuously improve individual and group performance
Qualifications and Education:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Operations Management, Economics, or a similarly analytical discipline is required
- Masters/MBA preferred, with the ideal background of both an Engineering (e.g., mechanical, electrical) and Operations degree (e.g., Supply Chain, Industrial Eng., Operations Management)
- A minimum of 10 years of related experience in global supply chain is required including at least 7 years in a leadership role
- S&OP, Demand Management and business strategy experience in the tech industry preferred. Semiconductor supply chain experience would be ideal
Experience:
- Expertise and experience with international supply chain
- Experience with running an integrated business planning process (or S&OP) for a large-scale company and orchestrating it across Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Sales, Business Units and Finance
- Demonstrated competencies in initiative planning, strategic thinking, problem solving, decision making, and delivering results within a fast-moving environment
- Having experience in Manufacturing, Engineering and/or Product Development in the semiconductor industry would be ideal
- Ability to manage, build relationships and communicate effectively with direct internal and external resources at all levels. This includes the ability to drive change through influence
- Experience with running an S&OP process with Rapid Response by Kinaxis and advantage; or other known 3rd party solutions for running S&OP scenario planning
- Experience building high-potential teams through mentoring, coaching and humble leadership
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
- Comfort with ambiguity; ability to be flexible in a rapidly changing environment
- A self-starter; comfortable with defining goals, success factors, and key metrics for programs, and delivering against them
- Experienced in managing a global function
- Experience in collaborating with multiple sites and functions to drive common solutions and standardization
