Job Description:

Business Development Support

  • Leads a Business Development Support area consisting of multiple teams.
  • Sets departmental priorities and allocates resources to align with business objectives and annual plan.
  • Develops and implements policies to ensure client satisfaction and leads key initiatives.
  • Maintains familiarity with industry best practices and seeks opportunities to implement as appropriate.
  • Manages the performance of assigned staff.
  • Coaches and guides on project management.
  • Participates in long-term or strategic planning for the Business Development Support function designed to improve the overall client experience and improve team productivity and quality.
  • Leverages analytics and tracking data to set strategic priorities on initiatives designed to improve the Business Development Support experience.
  • Works closely with sales force and relationship managers to determine needed improvements through review and analysis of problems reported.
  • Maintains relationships with senior business and sales leaders to report trends and needs.
  • May provide forward-looking and strategic insight on Business Development Support issues to drive future revenue growth.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert in technical aspects of sales analytics and is responsible for generating recommendations based on data.
  • Resolves the most complex issues or inquiries from senior-level or key individuals at clients, as needed.
  • Recruits, directs, motivates and develops staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team.
  • Provides feedback at the most critical times.
  • Manages Business Development Support area through other managers.
  • Responsible for the achievement of area goals and objectives, talent management and supervision of team members.
  • Area supports a variety of complex client accounts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Advanced/graduate degree preferred.
  • 10-15 years of total work experience in sales preferred with at least 3-5 years of management experience preferred.
