Job Description An Application Support professional's dedication to innovation is essential to what keeps our company moving and thriving. Here, you'll oversee application issues throughout: troubleshooting, maintaining, identifying, escalating and resolving them as needed. You'll ensure that the production changes your team makes are made keeping best practices, lifecycle methodology and overall risk top of mind. Partnering with Infrastructure Service Support team members, you'll dig into root cause analysis, production changes, budgetary and staffing issues. You'll also draw on your experience to manage and mentor people to drive strategic change, both within your team as well as in collaboration with team members across JPMorgan Chase & Co.'s global network of innovators.
Responsibilities:

  • Manages and tracks completion of targeted technology control assessments including risk and control self-assessments, application, infrastructure, and/or location assessments and testing.
  • Provides guidance regarding control-gap remediation and compensating controls, oversees action plans and resolution of control issues/breaks with LOB partners.
  • Identifies risks; develops, drives, and ensures implementation and effectiveness of firm-wide or LOB-wide management policies and controls solutions.
  • Supports the development of control options for identified risks.
  • Monitors of the control environment regarding all technical and operations process.
  • Reviews key controls metrics and engages stakeholders appropriately to ensure adequate control management.
  • Engages stakeholders and lead governance forums for awareness, resolution or escalation.
  • Assists in leading organizational, operational, and/or technological change by defining strategies, frameworks, and up-ward reporting.
  • Primarily accountable for one or more functions/job families.


Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least six years of experience in audit or technology controls including but not limited to policies and standards, risk and control assessments, access controls, control remediation, regulatory compliance, technology resiliency, risk and control governance and metrics, incident management, secure systems, development lifecycles, vulnerability management and data protection.
  • Proficient in the following:
    • Risk and Issue Management.
    • Technological, Organizational and/or Operational Change Management.
    • Conflict resolution.
    • Negotiation/Stakeholder Management.
    • Controls.
    • Partnership and Influence.
    • Critical Thinking (anticipates problems and establishes methods to mitigate project/program risks).
    • Executive communications for senior management.
  • Knowledge of system development life cycle concepts with an ability to quickly learn a complex, distributed computing environment.
  • Solid understanding of internal control concepts with the ability to evaluate and determine the adequacy of controls by considering business and technology risks in an integrated manner.
  • Knowledge of distributed technologies considered a plus, along with a good understanding of controls related to operating system and database platforms.
  • In-depth knowledge of business continuity, its methodologies and standards, data center recovery, IT infrastructure, architecture, delivery, & implementation experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently in an efficient and effective manner with minimal supervision.
  • Team player who works well individually and in teams, shares information and collaborates with colleagues.
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, strong interest in learning, effective under pressure and willing to take personal responsibility / accountability.
  • Experience conducting infrastructure, application, or business process audits is required.
