Social Editor, Relatable with Allie Beth Stuckey

Blaze Media’s show Relatable with Allie Beth Stuckey is growing fast, and we have an immediate need for a production assistant with strong video editing skills to join us in our beautiful studios in Las Colinas, Texas. This person will play a vital role in growing our social media channels and reaching new audiences as well as assisting in the production of the day to day show. The position requires impeccable judgment, an eye for packaging and presenting content, and an ability to track and analyze KPIs to improve performance. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Be familiar with the show, Allie Beth Stuckey, and corresponding social pages and audience to assess the best timing and topics to post
  • Aid in getting clips from the daily podcast
  • Manage the show's social channels and provide clip packaging for both host's channel and the show channel
  • Have some experience with the Adobe Suite (Photoshop and Premiere specifically) as well as basic editing skills
  • Be receptive to feedback and critique to better understand the show and host voice.
  • Grow video revenue from YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter.
  • Come up with new ideas for social content based on trends and audience
  • Keep up to date on news of the day, regularly pitching stories and topics (both in the theology and political sphere), and segments that will interest Relatable listeners.
  • Write compelling and attention-grabbing titles and descriptions.
  • Consult with show supervising producer on thumbnail design, titling, content selection, and SEO best practices.
  • Monitor and track KPIs and develop new strategies for increasing performance.
  • Ensure video content complies with social media platform community guidelines.
  • Assist with basic video editing tasks (eg, converting a video to vertical so it can be posted as a Reel).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Las Colinas, Texas -based strongly preferred, remote work may be considered for exceptionally qualified candidates
  • 1-2 years previous experience in a comparable role
  • Strong video editing skills with experience in Adobe Premiere or Divinci a plus.
  • A strong interest and understanding of the current cultural, faith, political and news media landscapes
  • Impeccable judgment for identifying content that has potential to go viral
  • Strong writing skills
  • An understanding of the user experiences on each of the major social media platforms
  • Highly detail-oriented and reliable
  • You work hard, and have fun doing it and are open to feedback and critiques to be better

EDUCATION

We don’t care about your credentials. If you’ve got the right instincts for driving engagement on social media and producing the show, we couldn’t care less if you’re a college graduate or not.
