Overview

Responsible for downloading and processing cash receipts (manually and electronically), contractual adjustments, and insurance denials, in an accurate and timely manner. Up to and including complete reconciliation to the related bank deposits; Upon completion of the payment and adjustment process, ensure that all pertinent related aspects of the respective patient accounts are analyzed and correct. Serve the department and Novant Health as a diverse team player; provide effective communication to co-workers and management at all times; and fulfill all assigned responsibilities to achieve departmental and CBO goals. Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
• Experience: One year previous experience in business office setting with accounting concentration, preferred.
• Additional Skills (required):
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills required.
  • Ability to investigate, analyze and resolve issues.
  • Ability to work independently, efficiently and accurately.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications,
  • Excellent Customer Service skills.

  • Basic accounting and medical terminology
