Job purpose
Provides tactical and analytical support relative to the resolution of trending payer issues impacting AR while constructing a strong, robust, and comprehensive understanding of payer behavior. Supports the leadership team by tracking, trending and communicating areas of opportunity.
Duties and responsibilities
- Review accounts receivables reports to identify and help resolve payer issues
- Review and track incoming payer communication
- Track and trend payer behavior and root cause
- Communicate recommended resolutions to leadership pertaining to process gaps, payer trends or individual training opportunities
- Support leadership in engaging National Accounts to strategically resolve payer issues where applicable
- Support leadership in educating cross functional partners impacted by payer issues
- Identify updates and/or changes to the payer requirements and work with appropriate teams to ensure those changes are accurately reflected in the billing system, the Billing Guide, and the Payer Resource Center
- Responsible for maintaining and developing documents related to the strategic resolution of payer issues
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Continued education preferred
- Minimum 3+ years' experience identifying payer related concerns resulting in positive resolutions
- Experience working with all payer types to include government and commercial insurance companies
- Experience with Microsoft Office and navigating Windows software
- Proficient background in Microsoft Excel
- Superior analytical, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Multi-tasking with a strong attention to detail
