SUMMARY: Responsible for compiling monthly management system metrics including Reportable Spills, LTIs, Near Misses, CARs, Ship Visits, Safety Assessments, Root Causes, and prepare reports to aid in the identification of strong and weak areas of the Safety Management System and areas to target for continual improvement.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage and develop Business Unit SharePoint sites to ensure organization, functionality, and access. Train personnel in the use of SharePoint. Populate SharePoint sites with documents and records as directed by Ops Integrity Manager. Assist Operations Integrity Manager in revision, quality review and proper formatting of management system manuals and operational manuals prior to distribution to the vessels. Track CARs to identify common areas of non-conformance throughout the fleets that need addressing. Distribute quarterly CAR update reports to the vessels to communicate status and progress. Attend vessel audits and safety assessments as an observer to gain audit experience and a better understanding of how management systems operate.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university in Maritime Operations, Logistics, Engineering, Business and Economics, Accounting, Finance or similar field or equivalent experience to demonstrate proficiency in the use of tracking and trending met
EXPERIENCE: 3 - 5 years prior transportation/logistics or office administration experience.
TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY: Proficient in Microsoft Products, including Excel, Outlook and Word; Adobe Acrobat and SharePoint experience preferred.
COMPETENCIES: Ability to effectively track and trend various metrics to identify process strengths and weaknesses.
