About You

You are a highly motivated and driven individual. You are passionate about science and possess a superior ability to tell stories of science and medicine. You have experienced the challenges and opportunities of telling those stories through varied communications vehicles, across a range of therapeutic areas, in diverse educational settings, and on multiple accounts. This includes hands-on writing and developing manuscripts, posters, symposiums, advisory boards, and medical meetings

You have a Doctoral Level educational background in the life sciences and have at least 1-2 years of relevant experience in Healthcare Communications, especially promotional medical education or communications. You have mastered medical writing and editorial skills, developed strong data analysis skills, and can deliver projects in a timely manner.

You are able to conduct thorough literature searches and understand scientific and clinical information and then use that knowledge to help create compelling content for diverse healthcare professional audiences..


Responsibilities

  • Create medically and scientifically accurate, informative, content including posters, manuscripts, symposiums, advisory boards, and medical meetings, etc.
  • Conduct accurate and thorough literature searches to obtain background information to be applied to individual projects
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the various therapy areas being worked on and maintain relevant scientific knowledge
  • Update and maintain presentations and publication lists


Requirements:

  • A Doctoral-level degree, PhD preferred.
  • 2+ years of prior experience in a medical communications
  • Demonstrated competence in writing, editing, and reviewing scientific manuscripts and presentations
  • Ability to conduct methodical and thorough research literature searches
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective problem-solving skills and apply critical thinking to current tasks
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
  • Positive attitude and ability to interact with all levels of staff to coordinate and execute study activities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities within various projects
  • Ability to reason independently for the purpose of assessing and recommending specific solutions in clinical settings
  • An honest and ethical work approach to promote the development of treatments for patients.


The Ideal Candidate Will Also Have:

  • Degree in life science, preferably related to pharmacy or medicine.
  • Ability to work within a matrix team environment.
  • Willingness to travel (regionally and nationally) with occasional overnight stay away from home.
  • Willingness to work in a scrappy, start-up setting.
  • Flexible and easily adapts to change.
  • Extremely detail-oriented.
  • Dermatology experience is a plus.
