Responsible for managing the Treasury Management Operations, including Account Analysis/Fee Billing, General Ledger/Reconciliation and Implementation functions. The Treasury Management Operations team supports all Treasury Management products and services, for a diverse array of client segments. Responsibilities of the team include implementing Treasury products and services, related fee billing process, and General Ledger research and reconciliation for Banking Ops.

This role conducts performance management, career development processes and performance improvement as needed.

  1. Oversees and is accountable for the departmental expectations, policies and procedures.
  2. Works with Treasury partners and vendor for effective execution of Account Analysis/fee billing
  3. Manages assigned General Ledgers to support Banking Operations, including monitoring statuses, researching out of balance items and reconciliation through journal and General Ledger financial postings.
  4. Co-manages a team that works directly with the client on the implementation of Treasury Management Operations and facilitates the back-office processing.
  5. Knowledge of Treasury Management and Trust products (Wires, ACH, WCM, TOE & GCM)
  6. Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  7. Should be adaptable and maintain flexibility in completing tasks in an ever changing workplace.
  8. Manages a team that focuses on maintenance and implementation of policies and procedures, building towards becoming an subject matter expert.
  9. Responsible for coverage during vacation or ill time. Trains/coaches new staff.
  10. Operates independently; has in-depth knowledge of business unit / function.
  11. As subject matter expert, provides comprehensive, in-depth consulting and leadership to team and partners at a high technical level.
  12. Carries out activities that are large in scope, cross-functional and technically difficult, through demonstrated accounting and financial control acumen.
  13. Role is balanced between high level operational execution and development, and execution of strategic direction of business function activities.
  14. Conducts performance management and career development processes, provides input for staffing and disciplinary actions and provides hands-on training to staff.
  15. Develops periodic goals, organizes the work, sets short-term priorities, monitors all activities, and ensures timely and accurate completion of the work.
  16. Provides input and support to budget management process.

Note: Position will be filled in Chicago & responsible for the Chicago based contingent of Treasury Management Ops.

  • Accounting and financial control experience is essential to role, as well as knowledge of Treasury Management and/or Trust products (WCM, TOE & GCM) and related Treasury systems.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, verbal and written communication skills are required
  • In-depth Functional / Industry Knowledge is required
  • Highly flexible and adaptable to change
  • Technical skills / systems knowledge (e.g. Peoplesoft) is required, with a particular focus on accounting and financial controls to oversee and effectively manage fee billing, General Ledger/Reconciliation and related control reporting.
  • Leadership and organizational skills are required to develop periodic goals and to manage and motivate team members towards the goals set.
  • Ability to influence and navigate a diverse array of "accountable to leaders", who have a vested interest in Treasury fee billing and Banking Operations General Ledgers, and related financial controls.
  • Demonstrated ability to compile key metrics and control reporting, assimilating data from various sources
