What does a great LATAM Payments/Issuing Technology Head do for Fiserv?

Reporting to the Latin America Payments Technology Head, the Payments Technology Development Director will be accountable for driving the software development for the Latam FirstVision platform, which services 40+ client banks in different countries.

What can you expect?

VISION

  • Align to market tendencies on the payments space, aiming at implementing and migrating end-clients payments behavior to digital solutions and cloud processing
  • Work with the Product owners to build the roadmap for the regional solutions, such as client channels, data/BI, core processing product setup, proactively recognizing and articulating next gen platform opportunities to establish competitive differentiation
  • Drive the organizational transition to Agile development
  • Maintain relationship with Architecture and Support functions of key solution vendors ensuring maintenance currency and use of implementation best practices



BUSINESS SUPPORT

  • Engage on the Pre-sales phase, RFI, RFP, and help the peers and the business with high level estimations and impact analysis, client technical questionnaires
  • Proactively identify application and systems weaknesses/vulnerabilities and execute corrective and preventive maintenance/enhancements that assure service continuity, application availability and responsiveness, and data integrity
  • Provide rapid analysis and correction and recovery actions to incidents raised by client/client services, assuring diligence in any sensitive interactions with clients as it pertains to application system problems
  • Provide centralized metrics management reporting & dashboards



INITIATIVE DELIVERY

  • Work with peers and the PMOs on the initiatives pipeline and orchestrate the platform technical teams alongside the regional IT organizations to build the resource & delivery strategy to fulfill initiatives as per client expectations.
  • Work with Solution Leads and Architecture to ensure the solutions being designed and built are aligned with our Payments/Issuing strategy and contractual service levels.
  • Ensure SW development and testing are robust and ready for User Acceptance Test, and the rigors of performance testing
  • Comply with all external and internal mandates related to PCI compliance and CyberSecurity tooling and certifications


GROUP MGMT

  • Track and improve upon key indicators of initiative/epic/user story delivery, SW defects, and incidents
  • Manage and mentor a large IT team dispersed across different locations
  • Organize around the need for elastic growth, using the existing pool of approved vendors for initiative-based contractor onboarding
  • Embrace and support ongoing educational grad programs, aimed at preparing a pool of young talent to constantly maintain/renew the workforce



Basic Qualifications for Consideration:

  • 12+ years of professional IT experience
  • 8+ years of professional experience in a managerial role.
  • Strong experience on IT solutions for the Financial Industry, focused on Payments / Cards Issuing / Unsecured Lending
  • Experience with VisionPLUS® is a must, FICO's Falcon® desirable
  • Understanding of the prevailing technology across the different platform layers, from Mainframe back-ends, to containerized Java solutions, and cloud designs
  • Waterfall and Agile, or Hybrid Development
  • Debit, Credit & Prepaid Cards processing, and its associated end-to-end transaction lifecycle (boarding, authorization, posting, dispute/chargeback, etc.)
  • Evolving Payments trends and technologies: digital wallets, peer-to-peer patterns, open banking, real-time payment
  • Track record of experience on delivering large IT projects
  • Experience managing and influencing resources across diverse geographies/cultures
    Fluency in English and Spanish, and/or Portuguese desirable
    Educational Qualification
    A Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science
