Job Description
The Information Security Manager (ISM) will develop a comprehensive understanding of the overall Payment business and the associated Technology risk and control environment. The ISM will instill appropriate governance to manage and proactively identify issues and changes in the risk profile of the underlying systems. They will support Application, Product, and Information Owners in understanding the end-to-end risk posture of the applications and infrastructure to ensure appropriate controls are implemented and operating effectively for existing systems and new application development. The ISM will curate a robust risk and control environment ensuring technology solutions comply with firm wide risk and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities include:

  • Actively partner with Software Engineering teams to enable secure design, development and implementation upfront to reduce future security remediation
  • Partner with Technology and Business teams to effectively model threats and mitigate risk across your coverage area
  • Facilitate adoption of strategic cybersecurity and technology controls across the organization
  • Govern coverage area using qualitative and quantitative risk measurements
  • Drive a risk mitigating culture to proactively identify, assess, and manage inherent risks within our Payment platforms and services
  • Proactively provide oversight and advisory services regarding Regulatory and Firm policy requirements across the wide variety of technologies
  • Promote innovation and strengthening of the technology control environment by driving control optimization, education, process efficiency, and improved client experience
  • Perform security risk assessment activities to identify threats, risks, and appropriate mitigation strategies to support risk decisions
  • Develop an integrated technology control framework maintaining the appropriate balance between business and product growth, risk mitigation, and financial returns
  • Collaborate with Audit, Compliance, Business Control Management, and Technology teams to drive transparent, measurable, and sustainable control improvements
  • Partner closely with business, Product and technology stakeholders providing clear direction and guidance to manage their risks appropriately


Qualifications:

  • Applicable working experience across multiple security domains including secure software design standards, secure software authorization methods, containerization, and modern CI/CD platforms
  • Understanding of the external threat landscape, threat actors, adversary tactics & techniques, and industry trends
  • 10+ years of deep cybersecurity experience in complex environments
  • Proven skills and track record of Risk Management within Audit or Compliance functions, Technology, or other relevant Control Functions, preferably within Financial Services
  • Knowledge of cloud/container environments, Web/JAVA, and agile project management methodologies
  • Knowledge of various control frameworks (e.g., FFIEC, COBIT, NIST, ISO, PCI, HIPAA)
  • Experience developing or maintaining applications and infrastructure is preferred
  • Ability to establish good working relationships with geographically dispersed and culturally diverse team members, colleagues, and external organizations
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to effectively multitask
  • Preferred certifications: CISSP, CRISC, CISA, CISM, CCSP

The Cybersecurity & Technology Controls group at JPMorgan Chase aligns the firm's cybersecurity, access management, controls and resiliency teams. The group proactively and strategically partners with all lines of business and functions to enable them to design, adopt and integrate appropriate controls; deliver processes and solutions efficiently and consistently; and drive automation of controls. The group's number one priority is to enable the business by keeping the firm safe, stable and resilient.
High Risk Roles (HRR) are sensitive roles within the technology organization that require high assurance of the integrity of staff by virtue of 1) sensitive cybersecurity and technology functions they perform within systems or 2) information they receive regarding sensitive cybersecurity or technology matters. Users in these roles are subject to enhanced pre-hire screening which includes both criminal and credit background checks (as allowed by law). The enhanced screening will need to be successfully completed prior to commencing employment or assignment.
