We are currently seeking a candidate for our Head of Olefins Trading position based in Houston, TX!

  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with external customers and suppliers in addition to our broader internal team



What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Articulate vision for the business, seek authorities and build capabilities consistent with the vision
  • Generate and drive the development of mental models for olefins and resins that create new or higher quality opportunities
  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of physical options needed relative to the vision and MM's for ethylene, propylene and resins
  • Responsible for efficiently executing trades relative to MM's and authorities, managing liquidity constraints, and accurately recording and reconciling trades and positions


The Experience You Will Bring
Requirements:

  • Experience in proprietary trading as well as asset optimization, with a strong entrepreneurial approach and high degree of motivation
  • Extensive knowledge of the petrochemical value chain as well as experience with the ethylene and propylene trade or derivatives in the United States
  • A minimum of 7 years experience in the petrochemical industry as a Trader or other relevant commercial position
  • Bachelor's degree
  • This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
