Overview:
Global Technology Operations (GTO) is seeking a Business Security & Compliance Analyst. The [ GTO Business Security & Compliance Analyst] is accountable for building and managing relationships with our customers, business teams, and technical teams on matters of automotive Intellectual Property (IP) protection. You will use your leadership skills to increase our internal business teams' knowledge of risk mitigation strategies for sharing their IP data - both "in motion" and "at rest." Additionally, you will collaborate with Information Technology (IT) teams on enterprise platform and policy developments impacting IP, and support enforcement of enterprise protocols related to GM's Information Security Risk Management (ISRM) policy.

Responsibilities:
Assess Business Information Security Risks:
- Primary GTO Lead on Cloud Platform Transformation projects and other IT initiatives
- Lead GTO risk analysis for development or enablement of security protocols required to support internal and third-party partnerships.
- Perform business process analysis and recommendations that is consistent with GTO's mission and corporate policy & standards to both internal and external users.
- Make appropriate judgements on business process consistency and minimize policy conflicts regarding proper data governance and ISRM policy adherence.
- Serve as GTO risk authority to cross functional IP Protection engagements across GM business and IT. May provide tactical direction as it relates to systems, tools, and approaches.
- Be an effective communicator (written/oral) who can communicate security and risk-related concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences.
Manage Daily Operations:
- Promote GTO information security awareness and sound practices throughout GM
- Enforce information security policies by providing approved solutions - when appropriate
- Verify/resolve non-compliances or out of norm activity via audit, escalation, or exception.
- Align "out-of-norm" conditions to ISRM standards via audits
- Drive Acceptable Use Practice (AUP) request/access concerns
- Answer issues related to information stored in unapproved locations
- Resolve GM data storage systems permissions vulnerabilities
Support Global Math Data Policy initiatives
- Track and support global rules and exceptions to protect CAD/CAM data from unsupported external release or internal exposure within GM.
- Support proper CAD CAM data storage and handling by providing info/training to the business.
- Support identification, documentation, and traceability of access, storage & transfer of Math
- Identify and escalate unsupported CAD CAM data storage or logistic concerns from business users, customers, and Risk Assurance teams
Additional Description
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Security & Risk Management, or similar scientific discipline
- 5+ years of experience of Engineering experience or related industry
- 5+ years working on Cross-Functional Initiatives as a team member or Project Lead
- Analytical problem-solving capabilities for problems which are unusual or difficult
- High-level of personal integrity, as well as the ability to manage confidential matters
Preferred Skills:
- Masters' Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, or similar scientific discipline
- Understanding of SharePoint and SharePoint platform-specific tools or Microsoft Cloud Technology Experience is a Plus
- 7+ years Program or Project Management Experience
- Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) Black Belt Certification
