The Executive Director, Podcast Business Operations & Partnerships, will grow Vox Media’s podcast business by managing the line of business and spearheading new partnerships and initiatives to drive audience, revenue, and EBITDA growth. 

This role will regularly collaborate with a cross-functional team across the entire company, including colleagues from the editorial, revenue, marketing, finance, product, and analytics teams.

  • Podcast business operations
    • Manage goals, KPIs, P&L, and budgets for the podcast line of business
    • Lead business performance reviews for brands, shows, and partnerships
    • Serve as the first point-of-contact to facilitate complex, cross-functional decision-making 
    • Manage executive reporting on revenue, audience, and general business performance
  • Content partnerships and M&A
    • Identify, structure, analyze, and negotiate new content partnership / M&A opportunities 
    • Manage existing content partnerships 
  • Growth initiatives and franchise expansion
    • Spearhead new initiatives that drive audience, revenue, and EBITDA growth
    • Lead the development and implementation of franchise expansion opportunities (e.g., video, brand licensing, etc.)



You have:

  • Experience in a strategy, consulting, finance, or business development role
  • A sharp analytical toolkit, with fluency in financial modeling 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Experience with client / partner management, and comfort with navigating a complex, matrixed organization in a cross-functional role
  • Reliable operational and execution skills, with the ability to drive multiple projects forward simultaneously
  • Expertise in the business of podcasts

This job is remote.
