The role:

Responsible for a variety of financial card processes; Processes include card carrier printing, card encoding/embossing and match-merge; Ensures that all processes are completed within specific guidelines as mandated by VISA and MasterCard; Responsible for maintaining all quality and productivity department standards; Responsible for ensuring that all finished products contain the correct production attributes. These attributes include, but are not limited to: correct card carrier number, correct card form number, correct insert number(s). The Product Owner is critical in driving priority initiatives within the Portfolio Value Stream across Card Production & Delivery including card inventory/embossing, contactless and card tracker domains. This position is responsible for driving and delivering the product vision, roadmap and features. Strong technical understanding, communication and collaboration across stakeholders, and the ability to multi-task across multiple initiatives will be necessary for success. You will be interacting on a daily basis with the Implementation and Relationship Management organizations. You will be assisting with implementing programs, offering solutions, and sharing best practices. You will be interacting with clients to provide consultative direction to achieve their program initiatives.

What you’ll do:

  • Assist with collection and production of collateral, plastic, artwork and other required information. 
  • Participate in calls with clients, Relationship Managers, and Technical Project Managers as needed.
  • For programs fully managed by Galileo, take responsibility for tracking and balancing of card inventory.
  • Provide programs fully managed by Galileo with reporting and metrics on their programs. 
  • Facilitate ongoing training to Relationship Managers, Technical Project Managers, and to clients.
  • Communicate regularly regarding product changes and updates to procedures.
  • Be the subject matter expert of all Embossing processes.
  • Collaborate with management to bring up new ideas, thoughts and concerns
  • Serve as the main point of contact for the Company’s card manufacturer vendors
  • Work cross-functionally and with clients to execute the card art and card carrier approval processes
  • Serve as the main point of contact for the Company’s card manufacturer vendors
  • Facilitate the setup of new card programs with the card manufacturer vendor
  • Manage card and card carrier inventories along with the reorder process
  • Audit invoices from the card manufacturer to ensure correct billing of program setup, card manufacturing, fulfillment, and shipping costs
  • Review card manufacturing and shipping reports daily - taking appropriate action when necessary
  • Monitor embossing file processing to ensure card manufacturers remain within the SLA

What you’ll need:

  • Ability to manage third party relationships and interact with highly complex Galileo clients.
  • Keen ability to leverage data and reporting to identify insights, provide updates and propose solutions; experience in measuring engagement and satisfaction within a strategic program.
  • Proven ability to direct and manage large-scale, third party relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to think and act strategically while paying attention to details and anticipating any challenges or roadblocks and proactively implementing solutions.
  • Experience in discovering new solutions, informing teams and clients of the new solutions, and providing training to teams around new solution sets
  • Experience and In-depth knowledge of Embossing functions. 
  • Ability to answer technical questions for their co-workers being a positive role model for the department by exhibiting professional behavior and taking action to create a positive work environment.
  • Strong analytical skills to solve business problems through data analysis. Work with the client and internal Galileo resources to identify issues and opportunities to improve client/vendor experience and performance.
  • Intermediate Google Suite
  • Courtesy, tact and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Good customer service skills and organizational skills. Ability to lead and influence teams both internally and externally.
  • Able to interact with Relationship Management leadership and teams as well as interaction with clients at all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of card profiles such as contactless and EMV is not required, but will be useful in this role.
