P&G has positions available at various technical centers and plants (including Cincinnati) across the United States. The Category Demand Managers own the volume forecast for a category and all the related communication and interfaces. The forecast is used by product supply, finance, and business unit/selling marketing operations leadership. It is a critical job, as the data is used as an input to the category's financial outlook, for capital spending and to insure customer service. The importance of the role to the business and the supply chain coupled with the significant commercial and leadership interfaces make this an SNO (supply network organization) growth assignment. As a category demand manager you will need to interface with the SPS (Senior Procurement Specialist) analysts that develop the bottom up by SKU forecast as well as own the top down forecast, influencing key business and SMO leaders. You will own significant forecast change criteria, forecast reasonability, understanding all commercial metrics and ultimately delivering a 50/50 forecast. Gaining the trust of senior leaders and communicating up the chain effectively is crucial to your success. You will need to manage the difference between the forecast and actuals throughout the month and quarter, track performance, and drive improvement in your category and at a broader regional level.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Analytical and problem solving skills- capability to understand, analyze and manage an abundance of data, deliver a 50/50 forecast, outline risks and opportunities and effectively communicate the outcome. You must be very comfortable with numbers, excel, and commercial metrics.

Qualification 2:

Leadership - You must lead other disciplines to enable a BOP process that will provide winning commercial plans and a sufficient supply plan to support those plans. You will primarily do this with a data based 50/50 forecast and clear articulation of high side demand and risks and opportunities. You must influence the financial forecast and provide solid guidance to product supply.

Qualification 3:

Communication - Effective communication to senior leadership is critical. Communication must be concise, understandable and deliver the message that can be easily understood and influence key business decisions.

Qualification 4:

Operates with Discipline - This role will require you to meet a monthly cycle and deliver established daily/weekly/monthly processes. Ability to prioritize, work independently with the end result in mind and follow through. You must sort through multiple priorities to insure the most important work gets completed. Product Supply and Supply Network Operations mastery required, customer supply chain or previous forecasting experience a plus. Fabric Care experience is a plus but not required.
