Overview:

  • Serves as the Administrative Director for identified areas of responsibility to develop goals and objectives of the hospital.
  • Primary functions of this role are (1) work directly with the department managers/supervisors to provide leadership and guidance in planning, organizing, directing, controlling, staffing, and evaluating each department; (2) establish standards for clinical competence; (3) represent the areas of responsibility in the strategic planning process; (4) develop and implement plans of correction to ensure the hospital is positioned for success and ; (5) integrate the Mercy Values of Dignity, justice, Service, Excellence, and Stewardship into his/her management style.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

Education: Bachelors of Science in Nursing, or related field
Experience: Previous leadership experience.
Other: Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Upholds and role models behaviors of professionalism. Remains knowledgeable in advances in the health care environment through continuing education in areas of responsibilities. Is active in community/professional organizations.
Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Requirements: Varies according to daily tasks, i.e., administrative versus clinical. Usually works in a clean, air-conditioned area. Variable hours.
Preferred Education: Masters degree in business or health-related field.
