Purpose of Job

The Digital Publishing team is responsible for collaborating with key stakeholders to assess content management needs and determine solutions and schedules. As a Digital Publishing Manager II, you will build, implement, and manage content across multiple digital delivery channels to support internal customers and execute the enterprise's digital experience strategy. Serves as the enterprise's content management expert and technical advisor. May work with cross functional team members in the development and implementation of key initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identifies and manages existing and emerging risks that stem from business activities and the job role.
  • Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled.
  • Follows written risk and compliance policies, standards, and procedures for business activities.
  • Applies maturing knowledge of the business, its products and processes to guide online content management efforts. Resolves issues and identifies appropriate issues for escalation.
  • Advises internal customers, operational areas, and others on best practices to execute tactical solutions content management needs for digital channels.
  • Executes digital content testing, review and approval within assigned areas.
  • Serves as a technical resource for page owners, including providing guidance on segmentation rules, profiling and other technical requirements.
  • Implements and manages digital content review and approval process within assigned areas across multiple environments on medium level complex work.
  • Prioritizes and oversees personal backlog with no oversight. Works to achieve Service Level Objectives within established timeframes, while facilitating communication in team.
  • Adheres to code, compliance, Standards & Governance, design, brand and accessibility standards.
  • Identifies improvements to existing processes and systems to increase team efficiency, quality and service to customers.
  • Manages relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders to deliver on key deliverable dates and service.



Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Marketing, Human Centered Design, Journalism, Communications or a related field; OR 4 years of related experience in a business or technical function in which content management and structure knowledge was acquired and developed (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • 2 years of experience in editing and managing digital content.
  • Developing knowledge of HTML, CSS, and web development, industry data sources and tools.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of content management.
  • Basic knowledge of Agile development processes and how to work with teams that use it.
  • Working knowledge of JavaScript, XML, JSON, headless content, dynamic data, APIs and other web technologies.
  • Basic knowledge of industry concepts, systems and tools, including content management systems, preferably Adobe Experience Manager.
  • Experience with content hierarchy and reusability and search engine optimization.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage content in a matrixed environment across multiple platforms and in support of product/service acquisition.



Preferred experience:

  • Manages digital content, review and approval process within assigned areas across multiple environments.
  • Ensures compliance with content specifications and standards.

Compensation:

USAA has an effective method for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market position. The salary range for this skill is: $51,700 - $93,200 *

Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance or at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.

Geographical Differential: Geographic pay differential is additional pay provided to eligible employees working in locations where market pay levels are above the national average.

Shift premium: will be addressed on an individual-basis for applicable roles that are consistently scheduled for non-core hours.
