CS Trainer
Our Opportunity:
Chewy is seeking Customer Service Trainer in Louisville, KY. A Customer Service Trainer serves as the leader of the onboarding experience. The trainer is the first person a new hire spends time with at Chewy, and the person setting the bar for the culture. The Trainer is responsible for setting the standard, as well as imparting knowledge on policies and procedures.
What You’ll Do:
New Hire Training
- Guides new hires in the classroom for the full two-week training period.
- Determine best course of action for each new hire at Chewy, based on the benefits to the business.
- Readying new hires to become Customer Service Pharmacy Technicians by relaying our culture, policies, procedures and mindset.
- Relaying information in a way that’s engaging and easy to understand.
- Assessing and addressing gaps in trainee understanding or training material.
Development
- Monitoring trainees’ success and opportunities in the training environment.
- Coaching trainees in real time in a direct, positive manner, and providing corrective action when necessary.
Data & Analysis
- Utilizes data to guide decision making strategies on new hire performance and future at the company.
- Analyze data provided by new hire classes to determine gaps and address.
Effective Communication
- Possess impactful communication skills – both written and verbal
- Ability to work and communicate constructively with all levels of the organization (New Hires, HR, WFMS, Operations, peers)
Conflict Resolution/Problem Solving
- Having the awareness to see conflict and when to seize the opportunity within the conflict before healthy tension turns into overly disruptive behavior.
- Issue Corrective Action plans to improve New Hire performance, behavior and/or adherence to schedules.
Social and Emotional Intelligence
- Having the self-awareness to recognize the emotions that drive a leader’s decisions and attitude.
- Knowing when to showcase empathy to earn the respect and loyalty of a team.
- Ability to address the classroom appropriately and with the correct emotion matching the situation.
- Ability to manage change diplomatically with effective social skills.
Strategic Thinking
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain focus on key priorities despite conflicting demands.
- Collect information and updates to the business and apply to the current program.
What You’ll Need:
- Ability to command and control a classroom

- Technological Awareness and Usage
- Pharmacy Technician certification (we can provide during onboarding)
- Held a leadership role with Chewy for a minimum of 120 days (or you have at least 6 months of Instructor-led training experience)
- Oracle Service Cloud (Open Methods)
- Microsoft SharePoint (Beginner)
- Microsoft Office Suite with focus on PowerPoint (Intermediate)
- Working knowledge of pharmaceutical procedures
