Job Summary:

Reporting directly to the Sr. Manager, Charitable Contributions, the Charitable Contributions Consultant supports the Community Benefit team to ensure all grants, donations, in-kind requests, and sponsorships are accurately recorded per policy and compliance in Benevity database system.The Charitable Contributions Consultant will support data reporting and database workflow functions.Reporting directly to the Sr. Manager, Charitable Contributions, this position is responsible for partnering with and supporting enterprise initiatives to create and implement contribution initiatives across the markets. Prepares all materials for contribution committees and manages contribution through execution. May manage contributions for a specific market

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Assists Sr. Manager Charitable Contributions and others engaged in making contributions in the markets and local areas to comply with all internal and external grantmaking policies, procedures, rules, and regulations related to the contributions process.This includes managing incoming contributions requests, obtaining all required information, entering, and maintaining accurate data in the national data based, and performing regular reconciliation of data entries to the general ledger in accordance with an established schedule.
  • Coordinates administrative workflow related to the contributions process in the markets, including development of materials for consideration by contributions committees, tracking, and recording outcomes of decisions made by contributions committees, and efficiently processing contributions to ensure timely and compliant receipt of funding by recipient organizations.
  • Routinely communicates with markets and grantees, and processes to support the markets contributions programs. Responds to requests for information and assistance in the contribution process, including coordinating as needed with outside entities.
  • Coordinates small projects independently; produces deliverables and coordinates with other stakeholders; and recommends new processes as needed.
  • Manages simple projects or multiple projects of simple complexity.
  • Performs additional job related duties as required.


Basic Qualifications:
Experience

  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in community relations, community health, communications and/or public relations required.

Education

  • Bachelors degree in healthcare administration, public health, social work, public policy, or related field, OR four (4) year directly related experience required. High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.

License, Certification, Registration

  • N/A

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage resources and coordinate across areas and cross functionally.
  • Ability to develop and execute collaborative arrangements between departments or organizations on behalf of Kaiser Permanente.
  • Demonstrates Participatory style, high energy and a bias for action, with excellent judgement.
  • Ability to facilitates groups effectively.
  • Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in healthcare administration, public health, social work, public policy, or related field preferred.
