The Syndicated Loan Closing Department provides administrative and operational syndicated loan closing support across a wide range of clients and products, mainly Debt Capital Markets aligned with Term Loan B's/Corporate Institutional debt, Corporate Real Estate, and Asset Based Lending deal structures where Truist Bank is Administrative Agent.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Collection of required documents for deal closings
- Including:
- Amendments
- Refinancing
- Agency Assumption
- Assignments pertaining to transfers from bilateral to syndicated status
- Including:
- Review of attorney prepared loan documents ensuring the bank can meet all operating requirements prior to closing
- Attending deal closing calls and ability to speak to any operational issues within documentation
- Request for CUSIP
- Input new or amended deal information into Loan IQ
- Including:
- Creation of deal summary sheet for handoff to servicing team
- Input of doc tracking information
- Set up of agency site on SyndTrak
- Including:
- Movement of cash on day of closing
- Reconciliation of outstanding cash related to closing
- Participation in post-closing call handoff with client, deal team, PM and servicing contact.
- Holds post-close meeting with servicing team for operational hand-off
- Provides ongoing closing support after loan is booked
- Provide back up support to servicing team when needed
Additional duties include:
- Departmental or other Truist needs
- Updating policy/procedure
- Preparing data for audit requests
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications
- BS/BA College Degree or equivalent work experience
- 2-4 years in a Syndicated Loan Operations role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and excel in a fast-paced, time-sensitive, work environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to function independently as a technical expert
- Fully knowledgeable of products and businesses
- 3-5 year's experience in assigned product/functional area
- Ability to extract and apply principles from legal documentation
- Knowledge of operational, administrative and accounting requirements for loan servicing
- Capable of identifying potential issues and risks and formulate mitigating solutions
- Extremely detailed oriented with a proven track record for accuracy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable interacting with various stakeholders including Clients, senior management and outside counsel
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Team-oriented work ethic that includes willingness to help others
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office products; experience with Loan IQ a plus
