Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs Bank USA in Richardson, TX. Engage in building and implementing application services to close the gap in weaknesses in software delivery and the customer experience. Interact closely with Application Development Engineers, technology, critical Infrastructure and vendor teams to implement software solutions from infrastructure provisioning to code deployment, and support. Answer support calls as needed, release code to production, contribute back to the Firm's infrastructure automation capabilities and collaborate closely with teams within and across the firm. Develop and monitor application and infrastructure metrics to drive the continuous improvement of application stability. Triage production issues and ensure bug fixes and infrastructure improvements ultimately make it to production. Drive consistent processes and architecture patterns in the production engineering space to create robust and supportable automation and reporting tools.

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field. Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role working with large, multi-level interconnected complex systems. Prior employment must include three (3) years of experience with: working with software development in a Linux environment, Shell scripting and Python; working with the Agile development methodology; building large complex interconnected regulated systems; performing development activities for DevOps practices for projects, including continuous integration, continuous delivery, continuous testing, and continuous monitoring; using one of the following Jenkins, Bamboo, BitBucket, Chef, Ansible, or Github; deploying code to production systems and building out blue and green deployment infrastructure and accompanying automation techniques; and working with Amazon Web Services infrastructure resources including VPC, EC2, S3, IAM, EBS, Security Group, Auto Scaling and RDS in cloud formation, and JSON templates. Prior employment must also include two (2) years of experience with: instrumenting Prometheus, monitoring and reporting on platform performance using Splunk; monitoring SRE metrics using tools including Elastic Search, Splunk and Prometheus; and enabling alerts using Alert Manager, Splunk PagerDuty.
